Studying During the Holidays

Thanksgiving is next week 😱 How is that even possible? This year has flown by and has been crazy to say the least. Thankfully the holiday season is upon us. I’m here to remind you not to let up on your studying, though.
If you have an exam coming up, studying during the holidays can be hard-but it is so important. In today’s video I will be sharing a few tips to help you stay focused if you are studying for the CPA exam during the holiday season.
You will likely be tempted with all the holiday festivities that are sure to come about but staying focused will be critical. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked back and thought “if I would have been studying instead of buying stupid Bath &Body Works candles on Black Friday, maybe I would’ve passed.” You live and you learn though. So I am warning you now-keep studying even during this holiday season. The sacrifice will be well worth it.

I’ll have to check those out. Yes, being finished with the exam is the great feeling ever. I spent so many holidays studying and it was awful.

There can be a lot of distractions when you are studying during the holidays but we should always focus more on our goal!

I'm majoring in Accounting and I just finished my Intro to Financial Accounting course with a C+. I am absolutely bummed and I cried my eyes out for 20 minutes because I've been told that if you struggle with the intro accounting classes then maybe accounting isn't the right major for you. I cannot move on to Managerial Accounting or other upper level accounting courses because at my university you need to pass your intro accounting courses with a B or higher. I have to take financial accounting again and pass with a B. Do you guys think I should switch my major while I still have a chance or should I persevere? I'm not one to give up easily but I'm also not one to be overly optimistic to a point of irrationality. I just want to be realistic because college isn't cheap. Should I switch my major or give the intro course another shot? I would like to thank you all in advance for your tips, advice, or thoughts.

I went through something similar. My university sent me an email saying that because I didn’t get a B or higher In Intermediate accounting I should change my major as I would likely not graduate, get a job, or be successful on accounting. I’ve done literally all those things though. You should just retake the class, study hard-get a tutor or accountability partner- and finish strong. You can absolutely still finish strong. Don’t listen to those people
