Procurement of wheat has started and there is no point in becoming pessimistic .we are going to have bumper crop.and will find difficult to store the entire procured wheatstocks .Do not believe in scarcity rumours.Such rumours are floated by interested parties.

As an employee of FCI, procurement is going in a better phase. In 2023 There was nearly 600Metric ton of wheat procurement in the whole season under East zone. As on 05.05.24 , 8010.684 Metric ton has been procured. But market price is quite high... let's hope for the best

The buffer stock of wheat is 7.5 million tonn lowest wheat reserve in 2017 which was 9.42 tonn (still more than buffer stock) Now in 2024 if gov procures more wheat, the farmers would have to sell in lesser price. Now what If government wants to release 5-6 million tonn of wheat into market? the wheat prices would go down hurting the traders. that's why 3 farm laws were so important.

Maine notice kiya ki Govt. ne 2021-22 mei 43 MT wheat kharida market se , aur 2022-23 mei keval 18 MT , jab ki target tha 44 MT . Aur 2023-24 mei bhi target se kaafi kam kharida . मेरे पास 8 बीघे खेत है पहले हम 6 बीघे गेहूं और 2 बीघे सरसो पैदा करते थे।लेकिन अब हम गेहूं 3 बीघे खाने भर का और 5 बीघे सरसो पैदा करते हैं। क्योंकि गेहूं मेहनत और सिंचाई ज्यादा मांगता है।

Looks like the rich farmers are not happy with govt and playing up…. More than 25% of crop anyways rots in govt godowns. With better infrastructure and better data of availability and market demand-supply, govt will not need to keep so much foot for security ie with better management instead of keeping 7.5mt may be 6mt would also be good enough
