Instead of banning surrogacy.. We should make some law for that to ensure that there will be no missuse or in any condition the surrogate mother should not be cheated.. Its a good way to earn money for livelihood for many poor women..

My friend work in a IVF clinic as a embryologist, besides laboratory and medical job she also counselling the surrogacy candidate. surrgacy mother get 7-8 lakh per conceiv but she can't do next within 2 yr. Majority of candidates are sex workers, very poor family background, even a poor auto driver took her wife to do the surrogacy job. Many of them intended to do this in multiple term , but it can't possible for govt health norm. Maximum clients are foreigners.

As we all know that even in 21st century a very large chunk of Indian population are in extreme poverty and this makes women vulnerable to do anything for their living. Legalising commercial surrogacy will only exploit those poor women. Either with their will they will go for this, some middle men may force them to do so by just giving false promises or even husbands may force their wives into this (as other similar issues rooted in backward and poor Indian society can't be denied). May be evenn after banning commercial surrogacy it can be illegally done but the extent to that will drastically reduce by enforcing law and order strictly. Banning this will help upliftment of the society as a whole, which is the need of our country

Dear Panel, my viewpoint will not make any difference but I would like to put my few points across... 1) why will someone in our Indian society will declare herself as surrogate mother even if it becomes legal? according to me it's not safe for the lady and we all know why?? 2) our society is still in pre-Independence era... caste, language and many unethical logic's are still a major concern . Therefore, as far me, simple solution to this issue is to form an agency under the nose of the central government so that atleast we can generate new employment opportunity which can framework the legal document under their supervision but also keep it hidden so that the identity doesn't gets disclosed of the surrogatory mother and of the couple until required to disclosed. Also make it an completely punishable offence for the couple who dares to avoid the unavoidable circumstance after the birth importantly
