As if i'd say u didn't see the video properly, did you ? Even if you did watch it ur brain - (edit 1) must have gone on grazing somewhere. most sati cases were reported during British colonialism, what can you conclude? far less cases were reported during the 10th to 18th century relative to British rule time, and i'd say that makes sense as they weren't forced to do it in the first step and secondly due to unethical things done to them when their husband died during Mughals invasion. Whereas, very very few cases were reported around the 4th to 10th centuries, which obviously weren't forced, it must have, from what I can understand, been their strong affection towards their husband which led to it

I am from bengal, I know about this ritual. It was prevalent in bengal. Yes in my family, there is no record of Sati. But most importantly, only my family tree is not equal to whole Bharat. Many journals, novels and auto biographies of that time and also after that time, actively give evidence of the existence of this ritual.
