Maratha King Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj was one of the most brilliant King ever to be born inheriting the tactics from his father Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and grandfather Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj He exactly knew whom he should appoint at which place and what tactics are to be played as chatrapati was the most imp person at that Time when others like british n all were attacking So he appointed young bajirao as peshva(Pune) Holkars(indore) Bhonsales(Nagpur) Gaekwads(Baroda) Scindia(Gwalior) and Pawars were sent to Odisha and WB regions So he was able to control all the Indian region and was a sovereign and secular ruler and never discriminated on basis of caste or religion. Moreover, Satara where Chatrapati used to live and capital of maratha empire became the central point of politics in India A time came when the ruler of Delhi became nominal and was under Shahuji And Chatrapati post is not like President but Chatrapati has all the powers and was the supreme without his decision nothing was happening But after his death Other 8 ministers became powerful like Holkars, scindia, gaekwads, pawar and peshva and sar senapati and his succesors became nominal rulers And ministers enjoyed more power So get that fact right sir. Dont ever tell any biography without thorough knowledge

The initial Peshwas were all ministers who served as the chief executives to the king. The later Peshwas held the highest administrative office and also controlled the Maratha confederacy. Under the Chitpavan Brahmin Bhat family, the Peshwas became the de facto hereditary administrators of the Confederacy.

@@nikhilpolekar8325 no, that's the Varna system. According to the caste system, once you are born into a caste, you remain in the caste. Caste is determined by blood. That's why there are categories of warrior Brahmin communities, like the Kanyakubja, the Saraswat, the Moyhal, the Bhumihar and the Nagar etc. Blood defines whether someone is a Brahmin or a Kshatriya. Peshwa Bajirao Ballal was a Brahmin. Just like Pushyamitra Shunga, Agnimitra Shunga, The Satavahana kings, The Vakataka Kings , the Kabul Shahi King and many more. This has been happening throughout history. Lord Parshuram was a Brahman-Kshatriya. Brahmin by birth and blood, Kshatriya because of occupation. That was during the Varna system. A Brahmin, can do the things that a Kshatriya is meant to do, if the situation call for it. "Ahimsa Parmo Dharma, Dharmo Himsa Tathaiva Cha"
