I'm from bhopal, my parents told me about that incident. It was like a Dance Of Destruction on streets, the dead bodies lying on roads. There was rush outside, everyone was running with no destination, My grandfather didn't ran and stayed at home saying, infact we will die together. And they remained safe as people run they will inhale more gas and it penetrated less in houses. I'm proud that my grandfather took the smart decision and saved family life. And bcoz of him I'm typing this comment. Let me add one more brave incident, the Bhopal Station Master of that time contributed too much, he stayed there at station to stop the trains preventing them to come to bhopal and he saved many lives by sacrificing his own.

I live in Bhopal ,just 1 km from Union Carbide industry where gas plant leaked, and i know what are the consequences when you don't take environment seriously ,still today many people who have experienced BHOPAL GAS TRAGEDY demands compensation from the govt, in 1984 the local people where not even given 15% compensation of what they demanded, ,when you don't respect environment ,it will hit you back in the hardest manner possible, i am today living in a middle class family ,in a good colony ,neither i am affected by the thousands of those who were demanding money today, but as a responsible citizen ,it is my duty to spread awareness among our fellow citizens , and i personally feel that people of bhopal should get justice as soon as possible . In the end i just want to request you all ,please take environment seriously ,otherwise don't expect good from the environment ,nature's fury is evident everywhere. Message from a responsible citizen Thank you.

I was a four year old then when we had this deadly gas leak in bhopal, my father on his fiat went to old city (more affected area) to pick up my grandfather and my uncle and he had some horrible stories to share, people were trying to get in the car so that they could move out of the area, all were vomiting and had problems in breathing and what not...
