Good to hear the story of one of my old time friend Raghu Rai. We met in Rohtak, some time in early 60s and spend several days to together singing and practicing songs made on film song tunes. I recall him as person carrying a small camera around his neck and always ready to sing, tell stories and click photos.He moved out from Model town Rohtak, apparently to Delhi and I left for higher studies and never heard about him till yesterday when I saw him in lallantop interview. His face was still recognisable although changed considerably due to ageing. When he showed a picture of small donkey in this interview I do recall another photo taken some where in Model town Rohtak where he took a photo of a donkey with an electric pole emerging from his head as if pole is growing on donkeys head. I hope he still has that photo.Good to hear his interesting stories and his ever smiling face, wishing him all the best and look forward to see him in person during my next visit to India.

Pointing some words you used for Bhindrawale- 1. “He used to collect money so earning was happening” till the date he had single bedroom home which had pouring roof. If his intention was to earn money or comfort, many offerings to him were made by indian government and his followers. He would have built an empire with that. 2. “Bhindrawale was hiding in Akal Takht” Hiding is a word used for someone who has fear in his mind. Till his last breath Bhindrawale had an escape route from Akal takht. He sacrificed his life by choice. After hearing your perspective on these two points sorry to say but it puts me in position to not completely believe what you say on other points too.

This was "The best episode of Guest in the Newsroom" for me till date. All the facts n incidents which Raghu Sir explained took me back to my growing up years. Right from 1971-1984.
