Recently, Gujarat banned Conocarpus. Mangrove also needs to be planted properly.

​@@saurkashi bcoz canocarpus causes breathing issues nd it's not native Indian , it's generally found in South America nd Africa continent. It wasn't suitable for Gujarat enviornment so they banned it. I am not sure though

@@vishakhamadan4747 Yes, you are right. Conocarpus is harmful because its pollen grains cause several respiratory problems. Moreover, it also disrupts water drainage & harms soil. There are 2 species - Conocarpus erectus ( in Caribbean region) & Conocarpus lancifolius ( in Arabian peninsula & south Asia). Irony is that, initially Gujarat govt promoted its plantation ( copying Karachi Municipality, Pak) without anticipating its consequences.
