जजों की नियुक्ति योग्यता, ईमानदारी और ट्रैक रिकॉर्ड के आधार पर ही होनी चाहिए, न कि भाई-भतीजावाद के आधार पर। अगर जज के परिवार में कोई योग्य व्यक्ति पैदा होता है, तो इसका मतलब है कि उसे अपने परिवार के कारण जज बनने की अनुमति नहीं है। जजों का चयन वरिष्ठता के आधार पर नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। अगर वरिष्ठता ही मानदंड है तो 97 वर्षीय लालकृष्ण आडवाणी को भारत का प्रधानमंत्री होना चाहिए।

Baap judge hai aur beta bhi ban jaaye toh koi problem nahi hai...basharte he is capable. So selection system shud be such that there r multiple written tests based assessment for trial and High court judges which assess multiple facets of eligibility to be a judge...no interviews....so no discretionary selection. Similarly the pool of selection shud be basis certain thresholds like no. of correct judgements, key judgements, yrs of service as high court judge and a written test which assess qualities and thinking of the candidate to be a SC judge.

Judge selection process = Exam + interview + IQ test + 6 months probationary appointment to check logical approach. Any petetion in SC against HC judgement, the HC judge or the judges bench should be the part of judgement panel again in SC. Interpretation of any section of law makes the real mesh in the system and makes the parties unhappy. So this part may be made much more elaborative with point wise clarity for better judgement. This is my personal opinion. Please perdon if I am wrong.
