Similarly Dryden was also chief figure of this age. He had cultivated so many qualities. He could write poems, plays and was critical thinker . He was official poet laureate of England. Unfortunately, his career had despairing end. He was compelled to translated old works of Latin and Greek. He is renowned of introducing heroic couplets. In satire, he had written Macflecknoe" Alexander pope was heavily influenced by him. Apart from poetry, fiction and Journalism got fame. John Locke influenced American thinker by his philosophical works. John Bunyan had separated himself from rest of poets. His major work includes " Pilgrim's progress". It was his impressive allegorical work. The Restoration periods attributes an other unique quality because People had awareness by publishing of a "Broad sheet". This age introduced idea of Novel fiction. Subsequently, Aphra Behn was first Novel writer in records of English literature. Her novel Oroonoko published in 1688. In addition to this, Dramas were written by Dryden William Wycherley and few others. They would depict Aristocracy in thier dramas. Similarly William Congreve and John Vanbrugh had started writing on comedy to portray Life of middle class people. George Etherege introduced comedy of manners that were very immoral. Sex was discussed openly. However, William Congreve had strong grip of writing comedy of manners. After end of Restoration age, Augustan age rules for half century from (1700 uptill 1750). It is also called new classical age but it has no bigger achievements in realm of literature. This had gained papularity in science and rationalism. Alexander pope had supreme in this period. He was poet and prose writer of this age. Satires were used to ridicule somebody. Pope was also among them Who would. satire on his rivals baby Comic epics. Rape of lock his one of his famous work. His translation of Illiad and Odyssey had written by his efficiency devotion. Next to this, Age of Sensitivity is entrenchd till 1798. Denis Diderot thought of enlightenment by e exaggerating Encyclopedia. The writers from 1720 to 1730 called themselves Augustines. They had belief that Romans would write on political matter at the time of Augustine. George IST was king at this era. The idea of enlightenment and consiousnes provoked industrial revolution.
