The 5 minutes better methode is something that I lovingly call: "Just 5 minutes might as well methode" and it works like you described it but with the addition that I often end up doing the task because after 5 minutes my brain often is like: "Eh, might as well just do it entirely / do more when it's a huge task."

My sister calls people whilst studying even though she dosent go to the same school as them and then they talk about drama and other classmates and then she always gets texts because they force her to call: they spam text and spam call. They even do it when we are watching a movie together and it ruins the whole thing when she answers it (pretty much every time they call)
