I am very interested in what you are taught to believe, within the bounds of psychology and whether any of the conclusions offered in gaining a Degree carries ANY empirical evidence. I lecture in emotional dysfunction, I don't have a Degree - I'm 53 and interested in your response to my question, thanks.

Hello Alluvia, thanks for your question. Please have a look at the main Psychology website to see the programme structures, outcomes and accreditation by the British Psychological Society www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/undergraduate/degrees/psychology-bsc/ If you still want more information, you may also be better placed asking these kind of questions directly to the department. All the best.

I studied psychology at UCL in the 1960's. I thought it was a complete waste of time. We did absolutely trivial experiments and then spent days analyzing the data. Result: garbage in, garbage out. What puzzled me was that no one else thought it was crap. Physics, chemistry and biology have changed out world: psychology has not left a trace-except Sigmund Fraud.

@@nigelcairns6203 well maybe things have changed since then, I'm currently studying psychology at A level and it's great!

@@abelievereverrising283 What has psychology achieved? Is it more than common sense? Is there GOOD evidence that therapy works? I was kicked out of University College London, apparently one of the BEST places to study psychology, for making fun of the professors.
