I see why they would break them down into Smaller Seasons here in the West (Having a 100+ Episode Season seems Questionable to Western TV) but I think they could've done a better job at breaking them up more cleanly tbh.

Pokemon Best wishes/ Black and White is the first worst anime series that I ever watched🤢. Because at first I was fine with first season when Ash manage to catch more Pokemon in the Unova region than any region that he visited on his journey👍. However so far in the seasons he manage to get a few of his pokemon to evolve fully like Unfezant, Leavanny and Krookodile, but the others haven't had a chance to evolve way up to their fully evolved form especially Ash's Unova starter pokemon. Although Ash's pignite did evolve once but the other two haven't in fact in the third and final Pokemon Black and White series none of Ash's Unova Pokrmon (Pignite, Snivy, Oshawott, Scraggy, Boldore and Palitoad) didn't get this chance to evolve which one of the biggest disappoint of any Pokemon anime season history😠😡. And you know who's to blame for all this?, the Japanese writers because they keep avoiding any plans to get some of Ash's Unevolved Unova Pokemon in the third season, I mean if they are planning for Ash's Snivy and Oshawott to evolved in the future Pokemon Black and White episodes they would have done that by now and then in the Unova League Ash would finally have three of his Unova starter Pokemon fully evolved and he could have battle his rival virgil in the semi final and reach the top 4 like he did in the Sinnoh league👍. But that never really happen sadly because the Japanese writer never made it happen and that's why Pokemon Best wishes/ Black and White has became the worst pokemon anime series of all😞😠😡🤢👎 Also first series of Pokemon Best wishes/ Black and White is all mess up because originally Team Rocket Jessia and James were in Black uniform and now they've gone back to to White uniform half way throught the episodes doesn't make sense. The same goes for the two parts episodes postones of Team Rocket VS Team Plasma that never aired since then or explain what has happen to the ancient rock that Team Rocket stole. So yeah this whole first series of Pokemon Best wishes/ Black and White has gone down the drain👎. And finally in the third final series of Pokemon Best wishes/ Black and White is the mystery of why Cilan was afraid of Purrion in the first place. Until one episode at the end when Cilan finally reveal the truth to Ash and Iris but unfortunely because of the off screen the viewers never learn that secret and it's a mystery that we'll never learn since then. So yeah out of all the Pokemon anime series Pokemon Best wishes/ Black and White is the worst of all 😞😠😡🤢👎

And also even this video is old but he did technically caught a new gen Pokemon which was his Galarain Farfetch'd which will evolve into a Sirfetch'd and the recent upcoming episode besides the Eevee one that Ash's MIGHT catch his 1st original Gen 8 Pokemon which was possibly teased in one of the recent posters which involves with the gen 8 fossil Pokemon. And also Goh is the one that caught the Sobble and not Ash.

Um actually The the newest series for the English dub region is called Parts instead of seasons which is a HUGE first and each one is split into 12 episode per part which will air 3 months per time and the next 12 will air sometime in March of next year starting with Ash's reunion with all the main characters excluding Lilie and ending from the recent aired Japanese episode.

Well, continuity has always been a problem in the pokemon anime. Really, from what I read and heard this looks to already be the anime with the most continuity and past references yet. Also, I actually feel that Sun and Moon would have also been perfect for bringing back old pokemon Ash had because he was living with Kakui and going to school meaning he wasn’t in the wild for so long and had easy access to trading machines. But that’s just my opinion. I also feel that they could have used continuity for his new pokemon in this season as well. I mentioned it in other places, but why didn’t they just have Ash get the haunter from the first series and have that be gengar? Furthermore, Ash now has rio,u (about time) but again they could have brought back the riolu from past arcs instead.

I can agree on the return of some Pokemon but there is no need to shoehorn past references like just because ash sees a Pokemon he has doesn't mean he has to bring up a memory of it or talk about it also the Pokemon they choose need to be Pokemon he has not used a lot like glalie bayleef gible gliscor leavanny kingler etc Pokemon that weren't used that often so they can get some spotlight

I don’t disagree with their decision to have the new anime be mostly seperated from older seasons, I actually think it’s a pretty smart move. Like, would it’ve been cool for Ash to make a callback to his Bulbasaur in the Bulbasaur episode? Yeah, but the problem with that is that in real time he had that Bulbasaur years ago and most audiences of the new season (who are mostly kids) probably haven’t seen the older episodes of the anime, mostly since they probably weren’t even alive when they aired originally. It makes sense to keep the new series as it’s own seperate thing as to not alienate new audiences and make them feel like they’re missing parts of the story. My personal main issue with the anime and the reason why I don’t watch it is actually because the show never seems to progress towards anything new and relies too heavily on what’s come before. It’s been decades since the anime first started at this point yet we are still getting exactly the same material and exactly the same characters (with a few new ones sprinkled in here and there). Both Ash and Team Rocket have no where left to go as characters and they never change throughout the series yet they’re still here, stagnant and ready to reset all previous development every few years or so when a new series begins. There’s only so much you can do with these characters until they get tired. If I were in charge of the new season I’d have ditched Ash altogether. He’s passed his prime, it’s time to lay down this dead horse. Make the new series Gou’s story and plot out a character arc for him that spans the runtime of the series and when it comes time to start another generation of the franchise then we ditch Gou. He’s completed his arc, it’s time for someone else to take the spotlight. That way each new series of the anime feels brand new and different from it’s predecessors, and we could get different perspectives on the world of Pokémon since we’re not just following one stagnant character all the time who’s stuck in a never-ending narrative loop.

The reason the dub changes the music isn't because they can't afford the JP music, they just don't want to pay up. Especially considering the following: 1) It's cheaper to make your own music than license someone else's, and 2) All non-English dubs (not counting Chinese and Korean) are based off the English dub. They have to use the English music because of this, and TPCi is then paid royalties for the dub music. In short, it's all about making money, and cutting corners.

18:21 I kind of wonder if this opinion has changed now that the DLC has come out cuz if you ask me while some of the features really should've been made part of the base game, the DLC has more than redeemed these games in my eyes. Especially when they distributed physical versions of the games that had the expansion pass built into them. Also in regards to 11:22 now that Pokemon Go has gotten compatibility with Pokemon Home a lot of the Pokemon that would've been virtually impossible to obtain such as an underleveled fully evolved Pokemon; take the Salamence example you brought up in this video for instance, are now possible trade-wise. The only ones that would still be an issue would be the ones that aren't in Pokemon Go as of the time of m typing this. If anything my main gripe with Home is the fact you can't search for or offer mythicals within the GTS & yet people can still ask for them with their own trades just to be a bunch of douchebags.

Dynamax pretty ridiculous honestly. Never has a feature made me want to skip an entire generation. Pokemon seems to care about making this competitive scene work, and if they want to do that they need to stop answering that by adding nukes to the game every gen. It might be more broken than mega. a mega kangaskhan is not taking out the most powerful mon there is to dynamax. hell d max Rayquaza is more dangerous than mega ray.

Pokémon seems to promote mega evolutions in everything.... except sword and shield (Gen6 introduces it. gen7 kept it, even adding it to let’s go. Pokémon master, the lastest mystery dungeon, pokken and soon Pokémon go have mega. The anime still give us mega)

There's nothing wrong with Pokemon Sun & Moon serie but I felt that Ash's character design in Pokemon Sun and moon is absolutlely terrible because his face is very very ugly and his body is very skinny and acted more like a child than his prevoius past series.I still prefer his XY characters design because he looks more mature and his design face and body is a lot better than his Sun and moon character design. I know the japanese writer wanted to do something different but I wished they have gone back to fix Ash's face before they have released Pokemon Sun & Moon There's one worst episode from Pokemon Sun and Moon Ultra Legends, Rowlet swallowed the Everstone that prevent it from ever evolving 😠😡 just for the new moved Egg Bomb. Serious it's the worst and dumb episode which I hate it. Because I was expecting Ash's Rowlet to final evolved to Dartrix and to Decidueye just like Ash's Incineroar, and this could be second time that both of Ash's starter Pokemon evolved like his Infernape and Torterra back in Pokemon DP Sinnoh League Victors. The Alola League Manalo Conference! Ash has won the league and became champion but still I do have alot of criticise on Ash's battle style like when he battle Hau with his Rowlet against Hau's Decidueye I felt that he shouldn't have won that round because Hau's Decidueye is well too powerful and it's a higher level, I really still blame the Japanese writers for not letting Ash's Rowlet to evolve in the first and keep it from evolving with the Everstone I mean that is so lame and weak. It's not just Rowlet but I just wished that Ash's Torracat evolve to Incineroar before Alola League Manalo Conference so I can see more of it in action with some new moves just like Lana's Primarina. Here's another issue, in other Pokemon league in the quarter, semi and finals the trainers always have a full six on six Pokemon battle like in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos but that never happen in the Alola League and ASh is the only trainer with six Pokemon while his friends from the Pokemon school do not. Professer Kukui should have think things through before he had planned to build the Alola league.

MattCMG maybe you won’t see through my point of view, but I could relate to Hop after he got depressed after Bede beat him, Bede as a rival because of being an orphan until rose took him in, I actually really like the twist on the gym challenge with completing these little missions, the characters including the gym leaders stick out with there own original personalities with some of them having a little lore, and I also like Leon as a champion battle and all, definitely a step up from the last few champions that’s for sure.

MattCMG ok, now I totally understand what you were getting at. In my personal experience with games, the thing a value most is likable characters and a good story(excluding smash and Mario Kart). While I also agree that dynamax can be a bit complicated at times, I felt the rest of the game play was ok. And maybe it’s just me, but I personally found the den battles to be kinda easy without inviting people. But by no means am I trying to change your opinions or anything I’m just saying why I think the games are good. As long as you respect my opinions I’ll respect yours.

In the new series, the battle frontier is in Hoenn, just like in Emerald where it was introduced. But in the anime originally, it was in Kanto, right?

There's multiple Battle Frontiers. One in Kanto, one in Hoenn, and they clearly work differently (Kanto's is more of a gym challenge, Hoenn's is more of a tournament).

Unpopular opinion: Dynamax/Gigantimax is my favorite battle mechanic and I truly don't care for mega evolutions due to being so overrated and down right broken in competitive battles, Z moves is my second favorite mechanic but it won't come back sadly. I do agree with the online feature and also solo raiding (NPCs can be either amazing or useless, most times useless) but I don't personally believe SwSh are bad games at all, they're not game of the year of course but they're far from "bad" I'd say they're okay to good games depending on the features either love em or hate em. Being a fan of your videos man keep up the good content.

The biggest and most obvious thing I hate is the fact the creators seem bored with Pokémon. It’s been 2 decades of relatively the same formulaic approach to both the games and anime and they’ve seen any slight change sends the fandom into a state of panic. Ash finally wins a league, well the fans hated it because Ash was more laid back, oh we finally get an open world game, but it’s extremely limited in features. Pokémon needs to “mature” as a game. Advance the game mechanics, add modern battle features, allow for a more diverse selection of wild Pokémon encounters. There are nearly 1,000 Pokémon, I shouldn’t always see Amoongus every time I enter the forest of focus. Speaking of the forest of focus, SwSh definitely could’ve highlighted each specific region of the wild area and IoA by having random in game battles and rare encounters in each section. Take the Forest of Focus, it’s a forest so there should be a rare grass, bug or fairy type you can encounter, there should be a maze based obstacles where all those tangela and amoongus can be found. Those are just simple things that could’ve greatly improved the gaming experience. As for the anime, keep Ash but allow him to focus on strengthening his technique and skills as a trainer. As much as I love Ash, I’m kinda sick of his “unpredictability” being his excuse for winning when he should lose. Ash losing won’t make him a weak trainer, we the fans would rather see his journey thru losses to victory instead of a bunch of unrealistic wins like Pikachu vs Meganium, Ash could’ve had his Gengar battle that Meganium

I have to greatly disagree with the whole Dynamax crap. It's very obvious that, yes GF was trying to combine Megas and Z moves, but it was also a deliberate move to pander to the GO community. It's been more and more prevalent these past few years that GF is trying to combine these two fields for the sake of cash. Dynamax dens are obvious raid battles for a main series Pokemon game. G/Dynamax is a garbage mechanic.

Peoples trying to excuse competitive hacking as legitimate (yes I do dislike peoples hacking in any online game, but I’m not going to act like one certain individual about it, so don’t call me one of his followers.)
