I lived on one of the hillsides in Coraopolis, although technically the house was in Moon and the driveway in Coraopolis and I could see the bridge from my bedroom window, and that train's whistle could be heard at all hours. I watched the bridge being blown to bits and I also watched them put the new bridge together without ever leaving my house. The worst part of the bridge being blown up was not being able to get to the Neville roller rink until the bridge was up and running.

This was an AWESOME clip for this expat Pittsburgher. I watched all the way through to the credits because even the accent shrieks HOME to me.

Duluth, MN used to have an incline railway. Alas, it was not saved. There was also a railroad bridge connecting Duluth, MN with Superior, WI that was declared redundant. It, too, was blown up. :-(

A shame about the bridge's demolition! But a good video nonetheless.
