We love what the other channels do with reviews and detailed tasting notes, but we say we're more of a "whiskey reaction channel" than a "whiskey review channel," and what you see on screen here is what hanging out with us in real life is like if we're sharing pours together. Great video! I thought both of these pours were tasty for the price. I preferred Triple Mash as well. I get a banana walnut type note on the palate that reminds of homemade banana walnut ice cream from when I was a kid! Love the content from you guys. Thanks for posting! Most people I have seen have preferred the triple mash. I like both, but I think for the price the triple mash is a very good product. that being said, I tend to like the Brown foreman profile in general, so jack Daniel’s, woodford, and as of late, old forester are usually my go to bottles.

I like both a lot for different reasons. I do think the triple mash edges it out. I had both next to each other, and they are flavorful and well rounded, but not uber complex and the price isnt high. I went out and bought both in the end.

I bought the triple mash a few weeks back based on some glowing reviews from other whiskey tubers. I really like it so far, very nice sipper, especially outside in the summer. On my second bottle. Also like that it comes in the one liter bottle. $48 for the liter in NJ by me.

I picked up the Triple Mash and really like it. Quality pour. Great starter for an evening of Sippin. Haven’t tried the Bonded because not many people seem to like it and my “this whiskey sucks” shelf in the closet is getting really full already.

Thanks folks! Hate to admit how many Jacks I have consumed over my 67 years…but always mixed with something ( except for the occasional shot glass or ten..). But when the Gentleman came out I switched to neat and mostly preferred it to Old No 7.. THEN I tried the bonded and liked it very much. THEN the Triple M bounced that one! Is it not a blast to enjoy all the varieties for Lynchburg!

I have both. I enjoy them as mood pours. I’m a JD fan. There’s other stuff I reach for more often. Here in Michigan they dropped as liters. Low to mid $40’s for Bonded. $47-ish for TM. I have seen the Bonded marked up double the price at a couple of the more severe gouging stores. And it sits on the shelves there. Good video. Josh. You gotta watch the green mile. It’s very good. 👍👍

Greatly dislike JD Old No. 7 by itself (thanks, Bachelor Party 2004!), but I will drink it in a Jack & Coke, and the new JD Bonded takes it to the next level--you'll like it, Josh! 🥃Cheers! Triple Mash is just so different from anything else out there and is really approachable and interesting. I've seen it marked up to almost $70 in a few places, which is just nuts.

Irrationally pissed at the 700 ml bottles. I'll stick with the 65 - 70$ SBBP JD 750 ml bottles.

We had some bloopers that we cut about the 700mL bottles. 50mL measured out is a surprisingly small amount of liquid so we're not too fussed about it, but totally understand why some folks are irritated by it. It's a weird move by Jack for sure.

After hearing most of my local bourbon community singing the praises of the Bonded and badmouthing the Triple Mash, I had to give them a shot. Ended up really enjoying the Triple Mash straight, while similar to you, found the Bonded to be somewhat lackluster. However, I found the Triple Mash to make for horrible cocktails whereas mixing with the Bonded ended up with some very nice mixed drinks. Basically, anywhere you'd mix Old No 7, it's better with Old No 11. :p

That's a GREAT point, Slaine! The Bonded is definitely the cocktail go-to of the duo. It's hard to imagine the Triple Mash working very well in almost any cocktail except perhaps something with a subtle honey flavor to compliment it.

Jack Daniels must be concerned about people drinking too much, because they cut about 2 oz from their bottles ( 700ml instead of the normal 750ml). That is a reason for me to just not even go there and skip it all together. Suggest that other people do the same or every distiller will cut 2oz to boost their profits!

I bought both and was disappointed. Weak nose and not much flavor. Came back to both a few weeks later and was surprised how different and better they were. I did not realize how much a bourbon could open up. Liked both but... maybe the triple mash better.
