My grandma always heated her bread crumb mixture on top of the stove lightly before stuffing….great she did this every Good Friday…..the best! Plus Romano cheese.

My Grandmother and my Aunt made them when I was growing up. Now it’s my turn and have tried to make them myself they came out ok not like my grandmas or aunts though. Rachel Ray made them once too memories of her grandfather and she even showed a shortcut if you do not want to deal with cleaning the artichoke. Use frozen or caned artichokes get all the water removed and when they are dry make the stuffing and fill them put them in a baking dish with a little liquid and olive oil on top. Put in oven till stuffing is golden brown

❤❤❤❤ I'm the only one who really likes stuffed artichokes. I haven't made these in years. Having a hard x finding them in the store & don't want to make for just me. Reminds me of my Mom & Grandmothers. I don't remember a lot of onion. I do remember a bit of crushed anchovies. This video makes me miss NJ & of course, it looked delicious! Thank you.

You guys make it look so easy and tasty! Love the tip about squishing the artichokes, rubbing them with lemon & soak in water.

Definitely a favorite. My mom made the best ones. Always so tender. I think she cooked them a little longer. They were so tender. The only thing is....the fuzzy thing in the middle...dont you take it out?
@hilarywinters2283 Жыл бұрын
Question.. I've never made them. There's a fuzzy part? In the middle? Do you cut that out before cooking? And what about the stems? Do you eat those?

What about the fuzzy choke? How far into the center do you stuff and eat? I wish you’d shown how to ‘finish’ eating these. They look AMAZING!

Don't you have to remove the center choke before eating ?
