I have watched some archival film for Dive Bombing, the one method I saw was to roll inverted, acquire the target and then pull the target into your gunsight / front windscreen, there are some films showing a push over, but the majority are either rolling inverted and acquiring a sight picture, or winging over and acquiring the target. I guess you are altitude limited?

Yes.....but.. stukas started at about 15000ft and released anywhere between 3000 and 2000 ft. With the scale of my model and the FAA limit of 400ft, I have no time to execute a roll and dive.

Interesting. I assume the discrepancy in throw between the large centerline bomb and the smaller wing bombs is due to their respective penetration (function of mass v surface area).

no, that is just a scale detail I put on the model. on the full scale aircraft that was the prop for the siren!
