I thank U for your video and all time and energy. Some helpful tips: One, it is a "smoke show" due to fact your fire cannot DRAFT. It has no clean air to DRAW from lower section of barrel. Solution: Cut eight 4inch holes (spaced evenly) at base. Same level as feed port. Next: Remove top completely, no top / stack needed. YES.. U will NEED approximately 3-5 times the wood to accomplish this same mission.. but.. NO SMOKE. and now.. a person in any neighborhood could do this w/o fear of fire department being called. Happy burnin..!!

There is an easier way for those who cannot burn in their area or do not have the time. Save all used OILs and Fats from cooking every day and pour or spreads them over the stump. We have done this a lot with 5 acres of stumps from clearing for improvements. The BUGS and Wood peckers will do the rest, as the oils and fat degrade the stump right down to the roots. We covered over half the stumps with cooking oils from our home and had family members save their oils for our use. Soon you will be amazed as I was when I ran into a stump on my garden tractor accidently and the stump crumbled. I was able to remove the stump with a shovel.

Thanks for the advice, the goal of this burner is to smolder for a long time that is why I have only one vent hole. This way I can light it and walk away for a while without having to restoke it every fifteen minutes.

The problem I've always had with burning out a stump is that I've seen roots burn up to 15' away for days.

@Woody6156 ай бұрын
@@timberray9572 I seriously doubt that you would be able to start a forest fire. it would only be flames right at the top of the chimney.
