If this was in the UK: Traffic lights. 3 vans. 3 days. 2 men leaning on shovels. 1 man looking in the hole. 1 manager will arrive in a pick up truck randomly through the job. H&S manager will arrive in a car & stop work. Work will resume 1 week later after completion of the corrected risk assessment (which was fine in the first place but if you can’t find fault why are you in a job?) Work finishes 3 weeks after intended start date. Traffic lights come down a few days later. Broadband company move in to dig up road for cabling 2 weeks later.

wow. spectacular machine and really skilled operator. The fact that the jaws could shear off pieces worked better than I would have thought. I've used an excavator many times to dig out stumps, and to do so, you usually have to dig around the stump completely, enough to be able to lever out the stump, (with an excavator like a 270 or bigger, sure, you can pluck this size out, but for smaller ones, nope). And plucking them out would tend to disrupt the asphalt next to it. great tool!

Good operator, good to watch, here in the UK I’m a plant operator and this job would have been a nightmare to do. Firstly they would have temporary traffic lights set up probably for a day in advance and foreman watching over you and a person in charge overall to manage both of you, hundreds of traffic cones all around the job at least five or six permits to sign before the operator started work, a safe method of work to be in place various risk assessments to be carried out then a briefing about how to do the job then reminders from management about how to do the job more safely and the correct way to do it, and then people wonder why a simple task like this could cost over £40,000 at the expense of local council and tax payers but hey this is the BS we have in the uk where here we have an experienced operator taking perhaps an hour from start to finish. This is why the UK are now considered the joke of Europe
