Depends on the location, it doesn’t cost much Kim. If you need to do a lot, its better to rent one. If you only need to remove 1 -2 stumps, you just hire someone to do it. 😊

@@nongdantexas4478 If I have several stumps I would definitely rent one! It looks like fun work plus you can use the wood shavings to make compost and mulch for the garden. 🙂 (I've seen people used a tractor/excavator to dig and yank out the entire stump with its roots and everything, then chop it up and make biochar for the garden. Good stuff. But that's a ton of work and you don't have an excavator.)
