The lack of a video or book by Stumps is frustrating. As far as the sliding lid on the top, do you keep it open or closed? Is it open while heating and closed while smoking? Some people sue a charcoal chimney, you do not. Some people say leave the bottom door open while heating...etc. Would be nice if there was a video for "dummies" explaining every single small step to get this thing going. Thanks.

i really wish Stumps would update his smokers to better accommodate wires for the Guru like Deep South and Assassin does.

Have you tried to mix your smoke wood with the charcoal ? I'm building a gravity feed now, never seen one or used one just curious

Great video! I'm using a Mixon Vulcan smoker and a Cyber Guru - very similar construction and operation. Gravity feed with Guru is the way to go. I have a question - I noticed that you had a significant length of thermocouple sticking out of you chicken during your cook. I have to cover the part of the thermocouple not stuck in the meat with foil to prevent throwing off my Guru meat temp. Have you experienced this and if so what do you do to prevent it?

What kind of paper did you wrap the ribs in?

I love the video and you did a great job explaining the smoker. I am in the market for the Stump baby and I had a question about how much cooking time you got per pound of lump. In the video you said a full shoot yields 10-15Hr depending on the temp and you also mentioned you get 30Hrs out of a full bag of Lump. Is that a 30lb bag or a 12lb one? Thanks!

Great video except all you can hear through most of the video is banjo music. Your lips are moving but can't hear you.

Kim Padgett - yea it's weird if u listen with headphones you only get pieces and the majority is banjo music with no voice audio but if you listen with the on board speaker you hear his voice. It's some kind of video glitch.

Dude, eliminate the music track, you can't hear what your saying for the music track is TOO LOUD!

The back ground music is way too loud can't hear a word you say. Would be great if you can turn off the music and just make the video without all that background noise!!
