@@Cephalopocalypse - I tried the shock build..but had a poor healer and tank. I will try again. My very best run was with shields...I wasn't kill-able.

Of all builds I've tried, summons is the most OP one BY FAR.

Quick little tip I discovered (only 2 runs in myself though) is, that in the upgrade screen at a campfire you can hold down Shift to see the effect that the Epic item would have as a preview :) Thanks for the inspiration, will try out shock when offered!

Great tip! I do wish the game just showed you some of this info without having to hit extra buttons - kind of a mobile-first interface design that you don't need on PC when we could just have real tooltips.

If trophy mode annoys you, you can spend trophies by middle clicking on a hero any time.

It lets spells and heals also crit - pretty strong effect if you have some crit chance!
