Noah, you make me laugh with the spiders!! Those were just house spiders. I live in the country and get quite a few. I play with them and name them. I even got used to wolf spiders. I'm teaching my great son not to be afraid of them. Someone could have a cleaning crew in then just move in with a few fixes. Very nice!!

Beautiful house!! The beveled glass in that front door….absolutely gorgeous. Those old houses were so well built that they can be lived in for centuries-literally. Unfortunately working fireplaces, while beautiful, suck the heat out of the room so they aren’t very energy efficient. That’s probably why these were walled off. You find such great places to explore.

The bottle of "Burga Orange" says: " Delicious refreshing Fruit juice Drink of recognized quality and choice taste. We guarantee the use of only the best crystal sugar and careful observation of a hygienic flawless production" This drink was only manufactures from the early to middle of the 20th century. I am German and have never heard of this brand. The swing top cap is most likely made of porcelain. The little white niche in the hallway was a phone nook

In a certain way, this is a cozy home, but, it would have been crazy expensive to heat....as I saw base-board heating in some rooms!!! Either way, I bet there were some fond memories shared throughout the years from whomever lived there!!

This house is gorgeous, I love the the original as well as the 60s parts. The way in which the few furniture is arranged and the fact that power is on makes me believe that the house once was or probably still is for sale. You wouldn't want to show a house to potential buyers with power off. Either it hasn't sold in a long time and they stopped tidying up at one point or it has sold and the new owners failed to do anything with it. I think both fireplace covers are removable to have a fire if desired.

Greetings from across the pond Noah 🙋🏻‍♀️🇬🇧 I really enjoy the way you present your videos, you have a very relaxed manner plus you give plenty of info about the houses & the objects inside. I did notice a few influences from the 1920’s-30’s Art Deco period such as the basin in the bathroom & the Terrazzo flooring that you called lino. This home is definitely a jumble of many different eras. Like you Noah my favourite season is Autumn/fall..Keep up the good work & be safe..looking forward to your next adventure 👍😎⭐️⭐️⭐️

They don’t build houses like they used to. Love the transoms all the doors. The fireplaces were great as were the fireplace covers. Love the room with the beams the best including the wallpaper. I’ve seen this house before but there’s always a new perspective. Really like the deep windowsills and the deep doorways. Wish walls could talk. Really hope this house is saved and restored. I would love to live there. Thank you Noah for sharing this unique house!

If they chose a different type of heating for the house, as I noticed a big vent, it would be better to cap off the fireplace as a lot of cold air comes through that fireplace.

Knob and Tube wiring is actually still legal, as long as it's not encased in insulation. But if you are doing renovations you must replace it. There's no way a house would be abandoned just because of Knob and Tube. The electrical around the fuse boxes is 60 - 70, most likely the house was upgraded when they built the addition, all of it still legal and works perfectly fine as long as it's not aluminum mixed with copper on the same circuit.

Hey Noah! I see that you've chosen a great house for an explore, once again! I really love that fall mural and I'd love to have that exact mural in some room of my dream house. I think I even remember seeing that mural in a friend's house way back in the 80's. No kidding. I also love fall, not just for spooky season but for the colors and mild weather (fall in Texas varies WILDLY - could be mostly cool, could be mostly hellish). My favorite season, though, will always be winter. Keep in mind, I've lived in Texas for my entire life so when we get an actual "winter".... It's wonderful. After ~9 months of summer, winter is like Filet Mignon to a prisoner who's lived on bread and water for decades.

I owned a 1859 Antebellum home. I don't think some of the doors are not original to the home nor the chair rail. Bifold doors had not been imvented. The transom windows are most likely original. The fireplace in the basement is original. I see elements from the 50s, 60s, and 70s in this house. Beautiful house!!!

I always loved *older houses.* When I lived in New Jersey we lived in an old house and it was *huge.* Come to think of it my house in Jersey that I lived in had an old side and an extended newer side and they also extended the basement to the new side. So we had the old basement and then the new extended side basement to match upstairs. The house itself was from the 40's, 50's or older. The extended side was the 80's.

Arre you sure it's abandoned ? With the power on, someone has to pay the bill. The stove is clean, the whole house is clean, not much dust. As for cobwebs, does not take long, I clean off cobwebs from my front porch twice ifrom may to october, I live out of town.

The homes design principle was the same for 130 years? They went with as reliable as possible for 130 years, even the stuff from the 1960s works 50+ years later. No one will be dumb enough to leave this comment because anyone in the comment section could act like a 90 year old was an inexperienced noob.
