Adventure Mode Traveling Don’t judge a book by its cover, it’s warm enough to swim in. Not Mediterranean warm, but comfortable enough in summer through to autumn. Lovely and fresh on a hot day.

I learnt to swim in the sea here , my extended family all clambered down those very steep steps for many lovely days enjoying being together.. I remember after hours on the beach and once back up top you could enjoy an ice cream from the lady who sold them from an old caravan not far from the top of the steps ……only 1 flavour 😆 . Best days ever , no mobile phones , no big cars , just people healthy and enjoying life . I still pop up there now an again , the ghosts of my childhood still run around playing an laughing, so many happy days gone but not forgotten……

We used to live in St Eval 84-87 when I was at RAF St Mawgan. The beach through the arch was a nudist beach back then. LOL I can imagine their faces if you had shown up with a drone 😲 Thanks for bringing back some lovely memories.

Ah, beautiful... making me wish I'd spent another week to get out to the farther reaches of England and the UK... Those beaches! Reminding me of Iceland... That cave looks super fun! Love that silhouette with Elaine at the entrance as you returned. That was definitely a close one! haha, you might have had to hop up on the rocks :) That much flat plain beach can be pretty scary, how fast the water can come in at such vast a scale!

On the contrary. Tides are predictable. Meteorologists inform as to when high tides and low tides occur at any area on our coastlines and tidal rivers.

At the top of the stairs down to this beach is an iron barred gate. They close the beach off from November to April if I remember right. It can get quite fierce and stormy in winter. If you go you need to know the tides and its best to go a couple of hours before low water to avoid getting cut off, it covers quite a large area. I have swam out through a cave and into the open sea but I don't think it's the one shown here as it was slightly wider and their were no rocks on the floor. The view from the cliffs looking down is stunning but being down there is something else.

Hello ! Nice beaches you got out of the cave just in time before the tide came ...very lucky ! Here in Canada in the bay of Fundy between the provinces of New Brunswick and Nove Scotia are the highest tide in the world 16 meters or 53 feet . It’s very impressive to see and walking down on the beach is a great feeling . We were in Hopewell (New Brunswick)when we got down , there are like big flowers pot ( rocks higher than the tide whit trees on top) everywhere which is pretty cool.
