I'm really enjoying collecting the series. A little fix that you can do for the gold coin and leather display case is placing a small ribbon into the space, so you can pop out the coin by tugging on the ribbon. Voting for the Kraken.

Mayflower for the win because of the framing of the ship on the coin. Its positioning makes it look like it pops out more than on the other designs.

Lived two towns over from Plymouth MA for many years. I'll have to find the pics of my daughter's school trips, etc. to see the replica and the famous Plimouth Plantation (their spelling). Growing up in Mass was like living in the past - with soooo much history! Great vid. I must order one for nostalgia. You, Yankee and I have a connection with this coin. LOL...

I'm not sure how high awareness of the Rwanda gold nautical series is among the coin collector/stacker community. But with a mintage of only 100, future potential, imho would be great. Especially as a complete set. If there's more to come, I have no doubt you'll add to your collection. If it is just these four, then across 2 IFFs you have completed 2 sets. This one and the OB Britannias. Well done!! For next week I'd pick the dinosaur. The choice is all silver and I opt for the first one you mentioned. Episode 200 is fast approaching. Please make it ALL GOLD. Definitely liked. Thanks for another great episode.

With only 100 out there it will be very hard to guage how to sell they correctly and for what price. I cannot see them losing money but when the time comes it will need a lot of time and energy to find the right buyers.

Yes you are quite right, BYB. Selling is harder than buying all because it is hard to find a buyer to sell to. Esp. for the price one seeks. And do keep in mind my request. GOLD for IFF 200!!

A truly awesome design to be sure. I was so close to buying a silver one of these at the start of the week but ended up choosing the Rwandan 'Year of the Rat', this year's oriental edge Britannia and a couple of privy rat Britannia's for my sons. For next week, it's a tough choice but would still like to vote for the Kraken, something a little bit new and different from the RCM that sets it apart from the norm. Great discussion as always though mate 👍

Not sure if you are aware. But collectors box is designed to store them in plaster. I was completing also wildlife series which has same design box and getting gorilla 2008 in plaster was much more expensive then getting one in capsule.

How did you get it? And was it much more over spot for you?

I got it from GoldSilver.be and it was over spot, but it was in the first wave of purchases so about £2000 (£500 over spot price)

the box isn't flawed, just push the coin down at the bottom and the upper edge pops up

I would not recommend to take them out of the plastic because collection coin box is designed to store them in blister. Price on Gorilla 2008 (from wildlife series) is double if still in blister. As many people took it out. Might happen the same with Nautical 2017 Santa Maria, which is already hard to get and at $100 range if you do

BYB I'm pausing the video to comment on your issues with getting the coin out of the box. I believe that you can actually push down on the bottom of the coin and the top of the coin should pop up. This is due to, ( and I believe I saw this in the coin holder) the indentation were when you have the box open you can stand it up to display it. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. Still watching.

Hi buddy, I have tried this a few times but it is not as seemless and easy as it should be. It is a little oversight on the design of the box but overall still a wonderful coin series.
