All of the hikes there are really nice but I think the view from Lookout Point is the best payoff. We always liked to walk to the end of Harold’s Point in the evening to watch the sunset. A number of years ago my Wife took a picture at the point that was used that season for the Park Paper.

Did we need to book in Ontario park or just put up the tent and pay later

At most Ontario Parks you’ll need to book ahead of time, at least from May-September. There are a few parks in the far north where you may get lucky pulling up to, but definitely not Killbear. You can use the Ontario Parks reservation system for that.
