I love frogs and dragonflies, and my daughter loves elephants, and i have a granddaughter named Sierra 3 things in common, lol. Your story was very touching you should be proud of what you did for that young man your act of kindness changed his life for the good.

Sierra, your story made me tear up in such a good way. I feel like you did what God placed on your heart to do and it had such wonderful downstream ripples. I also weirdly love frogs and elephants; I have a charm of each on my pandora bracelet lol. Your frog turned out colorful and beautiful. 💖🐸

I happy you're enjoying my stories. I'm starting to get comfortable telling them. I'm also trying very hard to keep them clean and sometimes that is very difficult . There is nothing at all weird about liking frogs and elephants, they are the best. I'll tell my elephant story next time. 🐸❤️🐘

Thank you! I'm enjoying telling them and getting more comfortable with each one. I try to keep them as clean as possible. I may have opinions about people, but I try not to judge people, we don't know near enough about anyone to judge them. I'm a "helper" too. I was told very early on by my first commanding officer to hold onto my empathy and compassion, not to let the job steal that from me. Have a blessed day 🙏🏼🚔🐸

Sierra everything in this world happens for a reason and you were supposed to be there giving this young man the comfort he needed and maybe he seen the compassion in you to make him turn his life around…God works in mysterious ways and that helped you also….and it’s so hard not to judge ppl for there is only one who will be doing the judging and everyone will go before him…God Bless you for doing that

What a beautiful story, definitely made me tear up. That’s one job I know I couldn’t handle bc I would carry all that emotion of everyone of those around with me. It hurts me to see others hurt no matter their situation. Seeing people die is something I can’t handle. My husband died recently and even though I did everything I could to bring him back I just couldn’t and the emt couldn’t after an hour and a half and I think about that morning day in and day out . That was a really good thing u did for that man

Thank you for responding. I can't even begin to imagine the nightmare you've experienced with the passing of your husband. The one thing that helped me was not imagining my family in situations while on patrol. I had to learn how to compartmentalize things. Permanent self harm is very high amongst police officers. The world is very beautiful, but it can also be very ugly at the same time. We had a 3 week vacation every 6 months to find the beauty. Please know you are in my prayers, your comment broke my heart. ❤️🙏🏼

I was a jail nurse for 10 years, and I had a guy come up to me in Michael's of all places who ended up coming up to thank me for starting him on withdrawal Protocol. He told me that I helped get him clean, and felt he would have soon died if he kept using. He told me he had 3 years of being clean. It doesn't compare to your story, except how good it feels to have implacted someone's life that much. Making a difference is what brought me to nursing, as I'm sure as you were brought to being an officer.

Thank you! You're so right. I am a compassionate person, always have been. I'm a bit more guarded today to be honest, but I treat people around me with kindness. I'm not sure I'd go into law enforcement today, which is a shame, because I was very good at it. I'm sure you've seen your fair share too. I'm sure the man you helped would disagree with how much his story compares to this one. His life is forever changed for the better because a jail nurse cared enough to give him guidance, that one act can help for generations. Thank you for sharing your experience. Have a blessed day.

That was a But God story! That's amazing Sierra! It takes a special person to do that job. Although I've experienced some demon police too, back in my day. I think those cops were jerks for mocking you, to be perfectly honest. I think the frog looks like a fairy frog🧚‍♀️ 🐸 . Beautiful 😍

I have certainly felt the presence of God and Satan out there. The officers teased each other in fun. We were exposed to the worst of society everyday all day. They were/are truly like brothers to me, I had to develop thick skin really fast. As far as demon cops, I can say with absolute honesty that yes, there are bad cops out there and for the most part they are certainly weeded out from the department. I have personally known without a doubt 4 corrupt police officers and all were either fired or in prison, with the exception of 1. I tell that story sometime. If there is one thing a good police officer hates, it's a dirty cop. As far as my little frog..he is so cute! Have a blessed day!❣️🐸🙏🏼🚔

You must have been an outstanding cop Sierra… and yes, I would have done exactly the same thing with that young man! No one deserves to die alone… and you believed, at the time, that he was gonna die. You obviously changed that man’s entire direction in life and it goes to show that these kids are capable of making better life choices! I’m just so very pleased that he happened upon you when he did, and that he, and his Mum, had the opportunity to thank you! I can imagine that it was moments like that, that made your job worthwhile? Now… to this super sweet frog of yours… what a little stunner he is Sierra; I love the his tiny gem toes! You know I forgot about putting that film in like I did with that black frog until I was partway into this project. Being a police officer is definitely a calling. I truly don't think everyone is cut out for it. You need very thick skin, empathy , compassion, common sense, street smarts, book smarts and a whole host of things. But I loved almost every second of it. I worked in a very large and violent city. That man is a walking miracle, his injuries were that bad, he spent close to 9 months in the hospital. I'm thankful that I was able to comfort both mother and son that tragic night. His mother kept calling me her personal angel and I kept reminding her I'm just a mother like her and she'd shush me 😂. I met his whole family in that court house and his sisters were very emotional and so very kind. I certainly wasn't expecting any of that when I arrived for court that day. I love his toe beans!!! I forgot to tell you that I went to slip into my clogs on the porch and i felt something squishy. It was a frog sleeping in my darn clog! Guess he felt safe in there 😆 🤣 😂

Me too! I love putting fancy gems in his toes. I love frogs. The only time I was startled by one was when my son at 14 yrs old woke me up holding a huge bull frog inches from my nose. I've never seen one that big before. We had a large natural pond close to our house and the kids would catch and play with them. They always returned the frogs to the pond.
