That was an incredible afternoon of darts!!! That first set from Bunting and Hempel was one of the best i’ve ever seen!!! And Dobey vs R Smith was such a high quality match!!! Dobey and Bunting are true contenders for the world championship!!!

I don't understand the scoring. But I would make some modifications to this sport. Have them stand at varying distances. Maybe move back further each round to make it more difficult. And they should also be able to play some "defense" ie allow them to knock out someone else's dart or crowd a zone to prevent them. And they should have to hit every space in the board.

I really hope someone clarifies this for me. At 3:41 when it's Bunting's turn, he has 61 points left. They had predicted a checkout of 25 and double 18 but he chose a different route, hitting 15 on his first dart. Now this is where it gets confusing for me. For some reason in the next dart the video goes to 144p so I can't see well but it seems the dart lands on a 9. Then next we are shown him attempting to finish on a double 16. This would only work if he had hit 14 on the second dart but for the life of me I can't see how that was a 14. The numbers are not legible in the video but at least the colour is - and it landed on a white, not a black. Unless the video quality at that point (3:44) is so bad that the dart is actually on black and not the next number

He must have hit 14 which is next to 9. It’s hard to tell but he was on 61, then hit 15 leaving 46. Minus 14 leaves 32 (double 16). I also thought it was a 9 but 14 is next to 9 and the referees and players and commentators are unlikely to have made a mistake

It does look like it's in the nine. I have looked on 3 different devices and it goes blurry at this time. But I think if you look at the dart angle, it could quite easily be in the 14 and I don't expect them to cheat as it is being shown in a few countries and would be found out. Watching darts live at the moment. It is the angle.

Great matches! The commentators are funny sometimes. When Cullen didn't make it 3-1 they said in the next set he could've won already but it's 2-2. And then a few minutes later when Searle missed more doubles they said he should've had the win as well if it wasn't for all his misses lol
