LOVE the water ripple inlays, Wendy! 💕😊 The apple beach idea is great and turned out so lovely, as did the resin apple and ripple tray! ❤ If I recall, Louise Singleton made an eco pour apple from that same mold, and she stiffened the apple stem with wire, first. I use silica sand in a container and that way it supports the mold and holds it in its shape,,,,it's beautiful hun you could always take the eco pour off of it and put the resin piece back in the mold and pour a different color of resin in with it not sure if that will work or not
@Toonpish
@Toonpish 2 ай бұрын
If you take something out of a mould and return it to the mould, the seal is broken and resin will travel down the side. So it wouldn’t be too good. Plus it’s the top part so would have to go onto new resin. Again that’s not easy. But I like your suggestion 😀😀💜👍

You could use some resin tinted gold and put it on the cracks. It's a Japanese technique that highlights the cracks, called kintsugi. I think the English translation is "golden joinery". It basically embracing the flaws, making it more beautiful than the original.

It's a shame the first one cracked. But the idea of making the beach scene was a wonderful idea. I loved it. It's just sometimes making things with Magic Pour doesn't work out since it doesn't have any flexibility to it. I tried to use it with the feather tray mold. I couldn't get it to work with that mold either. It just dried to firmly for that mold. I ended up needing to break the tray to get it out. I'll have to remember the idea using the tile to make wave inlays. That's a great shortcut. 💗

I feel like the beach should be at the bottom of the apple. It would then be less likely to break, and the water effect old be on the lid only(with no eco pour) the water effect is awesome though.
@Toonpish

Yor water ripples are great. I bought the Let's Resin Magic Pour (their version of the eco pour), but I have never used it. However, Louise Singleton Creation video's are great for seeing possibilities. She did eco pour with that apple mold and she broke off the stem the first time too 😂. But then she did more and showed how to compensate (put a wire in the stem). I don't remember how she kept the apple base from breaking (she did create an interior form to support the center of the mold while it was curing). I wonder what the tray would look like if you did the "sand" eco pour around the edge with the wave on the bottom?

Hello. I'm new too all hobby. I love all off the tings to do with air dry clay and resin. I haven't try resin yet, That apple you made it's gorgeous, don't now if you have fiks it, I maybe have an idea. Hade it work if you juse a bit colour and seal it with uv resin? Make it look like cracks in the sand. If that had worked, what colour would you just? Maybe black, a bit darker brown or maybe rustic? 🙂 (Sorry for bade English, hope you understand my question 🫣)

For some reason, when I look at how you added the sand mixture first, it seemed like the sand should be at the bottom and the water at the top. Then, the charms would be laying on the sand. Does that make sense? I don't know myself. Lol Either way, I'm still going to give it a try.

Yes I know what you mean 😀😀 but resin will adhere to other materials, eco pour doesn’t. It wouldn’t attach that way 🤷‍♀️😀💜

@@Toonpish okay let's resin must just put that on their fine print for a disclaimer something.Unless there was more than one kind of alcohol ink. Let's resin also says not to dust the silicone molds with the mica powder .but that must be a disclaimer thing as well because ,I do it and it's fine. yesterday was the first time I accidentally added too much glow-in-the-dark powder and it did not cure🤦‍♀️. I'm new at this 🥰 Thank you

@@Toonpish Ms Wendy, I was also planning to try eco plus resin combo for Ms Tracey's upcoming collab,but haven't started yet as a festival was about to come.Now the festival is over,I can start figuring out,what I have to do first ,atleast I got to know that the mold has to be thick ,so there is no breakage while demoulding from your video.Loved your eco plus resin creation very much, just wish that it didn't break while demoulding, glad that resin held it it's place.I also got a new printer,now I can start with the one of your almost 6 months old creation,that Inspired me a lot😍😍

I always enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for introducing such wonderful works. ・・・and,If you are looking for a durable casting agent… In another video, there was a person from the UK introducing a resin that is similar to plaster. In the US, a product called “Jdirection” is said to set beautifully without cracking. There is a product called Jesmonite, but it seems it cannot be purchased in the US.
