Francese and Tom Hoffman are 2 of my absolute favorite painters. Their loose style and geometric are crazy inspiring.

Frank Francese is a great artist that is related to Frank Webb, another great artist (and his senior), who at the time was influenced by Edgar Whitney. There is a watercolor thread to follow and explore there.

I'd like to suggest a couple of painters for you to review: John Singer Sargent (late 19th, early 20th century) and Andrew Wyeth (mid to late 20th century).

The really amazing thing to me about this artist is that he does not do any pencil sketching to guide the composition. And He seems to use a flock of seagulls like Quiller uses sheep. Like a trademark. Enjoyed this one a lot. Thanks
