Stunt Dawgs INTRO

It's criminal how hard to find this show is. Even more criminal is that there isn't even a decent quality version of the intro available anywhere online. I tried to make something slightly better using various sources found around the internet. It's still rough, though.

Stunt Dawgs is based on the 1978 film Hooper, the series was produced by Franklin/Waterman Productions and DIC Animation City's subsidiary, Rainforest Entertainment and co-created by Jeff Franklin, best known for co-producing Full House, and Hangin' with Mr. Cooper.

The name of the lead is after the late stuntman Hal Needham, who was Burt Reynolds' stunt double and himself directed a few hits like Smokey and the Bandit.

I've never seen Stunt Dawgs but I hear what you're saying. Many of the shows I grew up with and miss were never put on DVD or even VHS. You can't even find them as rough uploads like this. The shows I'm talking about were made and broadcast in my county of the UK so there are a relatively small number of people who ever saw them. At least you can say your show was seen across one of the biggest countries in the world.

I still remember that one episode where half a mind had his intelligence boosted and became a credible super villain threat calling himself mind and a half. Over the course of the episode he upgraded himself into a powerful cyborg. In the end he was defeated by a coconut sat atop an oil drum wearing his discarded limbs. Stunt Dawgs was never boring.

In Brazil, this show is called "Turma do Barulho". I watched it as a kid in 1995 and it was hard to find any information about the show. Actually, the brazilian version with portuguese dub is lost media.

Right! At which time, from what I recall, the entire promo was completely and undoubtedly without a single ounce of animation; thus, due to J.D. Roth's one-time stint on Fun House in syndication, at the time, me and my brothers all innocently mistook the new upcoming (animated) series as just another passing LIVE ACTION game show; which was also comprised of its own share of signature stunts! One, also, was to be hosted by the aforementioned Mr. Roth, respectfully... boy were we wrong! 😄
