This is nostalgic. Cunning Stunts single handily got me to enjoy GTA. Kept having save corrupts in the story on two separate consoles so never got into that even if I tried, and Online never interested me. But always loved racing, and when I saw the trailer drop, it caught my attention. Downloaded GTAV for the first time in years and went to town grinding the mode. Went from like level 17 to almost 200 solely through Cunning Stunts. I think I had twice as many wins as losses. Too bad later tracks were poor compared to the initial ones and removed the dedicated Cunning Stunts mode.

I have to say that these races with a fully working steering wheel with force feedback and no input lag are amazing. Rockstar now needs to add 30 player premium races for your competitive racing series as a way of adding a podium price.

Races after August will be... interesting. While we might be able to recreate any track ever made in real life now.... I'm guessing the majority of these circuits, if not all, will be floating high above the map. Very few I imagine will incorporate the actual roads of San Andreas. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

For me, the setting lap times game has never been as fun as this, positioning your car in midair and jumping ramps at slight angles to shave seconds is so rewarding. I can scarcely believe i got to 8th globally on the Canyon run in the ETR-1 Its such a nice car to drive, and as far as i can tell, its only 1 of 2 proper front engined supercars in the game (sultan doesnt count IMO)

the interesting thing about this I would say is the fact that these races feel different, and not just about the stunting part. For the first time, we have proper races that diverge from what the gta 5 standard map allows. these maps look like they favor straight lines a lot more than other conventional gta races, and even the turns feel a lot smoother and not as hard to take as those seen in races so far. It will be interesting to see how this changes racing in gta as a lot of cars that were previously very good may now be outclasses by other cars that simply perform better on races like these or races with these props. Also will be very interesting to see how the new props can be combined with the actual paths of the gta 5 maps to create the best of both worlds. I do hope there will be GTA discussion/fact finding video videos to tackle points like this and also stuff like bumps in tubes (if any), etc. Also unrelated but I heard the buffalo racecar may come in the future as well (I'm also still waiting for the blimps, if they added those they can also add the blimps). Keep up the good work!

10:35 is a very common problem where with faster vehicles like the Massacro you will totally overshoot the checkpoint and be forced to reverse back. It is like they never tested the tracks before releasing them.

If you are in 1st Place and go too far ahead it slows you down and allows other people to catchup with you, essentially meaning coming in first requires little skill, because a skilled driver who is always in first and taking the best driving lines will be limited whilst the crappy people will just speed past you every time you are in first.

Broughy do you think there's a bug with the new super cars, I noticed that even with stock suspension once pick up speed the car body would drop so low that the body sinks through the ground and the neon light would disappear too, while the x80 proto doesn't drop at all and I don't think it happens to the other cars neither.

i miss gta racing. i quit when all the horrible player made maps came out but i was on my way to quitting when i caught myself sandbagging the entire race to get the catchup bonus and win it in the last few seconds. Did they ever put in a way to pick and choose what races come up and if you can play with catchup turned off? it was a great game there for a little while.

Finding full standard races was starting to become easier and this update has made it impossible for me to find more than a 3 person stunt / standard race... Took 3 1/2 years to make an attempt to get racing right and it seems so far they fucked it up.. Plus i want to race with ppl who can control the car and dont drive backwards... If i cant find any races tonight i will be buying forza 6 immediately...
