One of my favorite artists of the past decade and a half. To be quite honest, all of his albums are great. ("Wild Heart" is my favorite. That album was pristine.) He's unique and dynamic and has a gift for reinventing himself. Great art can't be rushed, and that career template has worked for many. (Sade comes to mind. Woman puts out an album like every ten years and still has a loyal fan base that has gone nowhere in 30+ years...I'm one of them.) Anything this man puts out, I'm all ears. Then again, I'm a quality over quantity girlie. 😉

How did you fail to mention his back piercing stunt that had him suspended mid air while performing songs off his new album Viscera? The album was supposed to be released in Oct.2023. When the concert was performed it got many bad reviews from his already accumalated fanbase. Some stated how appalled they were of his show, seeing hooks in his back with blood streaming down. The album seems to have been shelved due to fans not happy and saying show was demonic and some even saying he sold his soul to the alluminati.I hope he bounces back from this.He had also been doing fashion layouts that were not so becoming: for example photoshoots of him with a pink bow on his underwear could have darker meaning than we think. He was seen wearing a skirt like some rappers and wearing nail polish, fishnet hose in public and a host of other weird fashion photo shots. These things may also play a role in losing any fan base that perceive heterosexual men in a different light that most conform to societal norms. Certain things Miguel did ,made me personally question his sexuality all over again. He seems to be bringing all this controversy to himself, maybe not realizing it could make a major impact on his music career?🤔 You also forgot to mention his sexual assult allegation where a woman said he put his hands down her top to expose her breast. She said how she loved Miguel and that she masturbated to his music often and that she could have never imagined that he would look at her breast with such disgust look on his face😂 He was never charged but that was also a negative stain out there about him wether the story was true or false

As a huge huge fan since like 09, that back piercing stunt did turn me off from him and made me realize he truly got to be in some dark times. Considering his fan base, it was so left-field to do and was horrifying to watch that! These are my thoughts from afar, but just that alone made me feel like he dealing with some deep issues. I hope he finds peace.

Well, this all boils down to what the record label wants. It's a corporate decision. Somewhere between the early to mid 2010's, we saw male R&B skyrocket w/ promising artists like Ro James, Adrian Marcel, etcetera, but, unfortunately, all of those artists curiously fell off. When I use the term "fell off," I'm not being nasty because *EVERYBODY* falls off and again, it's a corporate decision. Nah, male R&B artists who wanted to stay true blue ended up having to deal w/ the lingering EDM sound from the previous decade (aughts) and then trap. It got so far away from traditional singing to that weird talk/rap/sing thing that artists were doing during the time. Labels convinced new male R&B singers that nobody was checkin' for traditional singing and to just dumb it down for the masses. Well, most of them did as they were told only to turn around and get dropped from they deal because the label curiously didn't promote them. "Dumb it down. Don't nobody wanna hear no real sangin'." Next thing you know, the artist done got dropped, has to release music independently and they just disappear. That was a trend I noticed during the 2010's. After all the mismanagement that happened during the aughts w/ Mario Barrett, Lloyd Polite Jr. and Sammie Bush Jr., labels should've done better. Anyhow, as far as Miguel is concerned, all I know and care about is 2010's _Quickie._ I'm simply not a fan all like that. He has a decent and inoffensive lil' voice. Obviously nothing to write home about. In 2024, there are no new, premier male R&B artists. Usher Raymond and Christopher Brown are getting older, respectfully, so who's next up? Remember, the music industry phases artists out in order to make room for the next wave of artists.
