@@ashishhembrom3905 TV has budget constraints, but as a general rule of thumb, it's the director's job to figure out how to sell what's on screen, and when everything is practical that become much more accessible. At best, quick cuts reinforce a sense of disorientation, but far more often they're used to cover for half-assed stunts. In this case the stunts are top notch and using those quick cuts just gives a feeling of inauthenticity due to the context around quick cuts.

Covering the Casino Royale scene, they had the actor on wires in case he fell, but guess what yall??? He didn’t fall in any shots. He did the stunts without wire assist, but there were obviously legal reasons they couldn’t just let him do it without safety precautions like having wires on him, and like that one shot where the padding is on top of the elevator and then gone. But he really made those jumps, it’s real impact, but if he fell he’d be caught. It’s some truly amazing stunt work.

I don't remember if they've already reacted to these fight scenes, but I'll say them anyway: - police story 1 (final mall scene for obvious reasons + the bus scene) - fighting in the rope factory in miracles - end fight scene in twin dragons is mad - project A (especially the fight where jackie is handcuffed to the other guy. Great bit of action comedy + a pretty risky shot when someone throws an axe and it barely misses jackie's head)

In the mall scene, after doing it, Jackie said he was too fired up on adrenaline that he didnt really fewl much until a few minutes after filming stopped and he was rushed straight to the hospital. The Casino Royale sequence is so cool. Pitting Bond against a free runner highlights his approach to problem-solving. Like, Sébastien climbs the steel beams to go up, and Bond stands on the hook block of a crane and drops a bunch of construction material to zip himself up. Sébastien hops onto and off of elevators to come down, and Bond jumps on a lift and busts the hydraulics to get down. Sébastien swings through a tiny hole in the wall, and Bond literally just breaks through the drywall. It's great action design and environmental storytelling.

I think he means that parkour was not that mainstream until that point-- sure it was known on the internet, and people knew about it-- yes, people were posting youtube vids about it even before then, but it didn't hit the collective consciousness until they did it in the Office.
