Also saying that is basically saying that you shouldn’t do tricks on your bicycle because it’s still dangerous and you could hurt yourself. I ride, and I support riders, but a lot of these aren't even the drivers fault, or not even a close call. Like a car is 6 cars away and switches lanes so the biker revbombs the person because of the "close" call.

This is why I honestly think lane splitting should be illegal, except at stoplights (where it's safer to be in the center to prevent being rear ended). Most places have laws about how fast you can lane split, but many bikes don't adhere to that, so even if you look before changing lanes, you don't know how fast idiots are coming up. This dude was swerving in and out and clearly going much faster than traffic, for no real reason.

It isn't Illegal to lane split in certain places like California, it's for gasoline consumption, the bike could overheat, and it's not good to just sit in bumper to bumper traffic on a bike because it's better to just lane split than be in traffic and could flood the engine with gasoline

Hey I know this is old but I just want to chime in here. Lane splitting high speeds is stupid, plain and simple. However, I find it a lot safer to be lane splitting whe stopped at a traffic light, mainly because I've seen incidents where a stopped biker (behind the car in front) is plowed into from behind because the driver is on their phone or something stupid. Being between two cars at least gives a bit of a cushion

You don't have the right to swerve in front of them and brake check them to stop them so you can yell abuse and feel better about yourself. That's not justice making someone pay a fine. That doesn't make them learn what so ever or make them realize that in the moment they could take a life. I ride and maybe me telling someone or signaling someone to put it down helps them realize they're at risk as well as everyone else. Fuck the government.. this is the community telling everyone to realize there are other people on the road and they don't respect those in danger... Government doesn't police every fucking thing and if you think as a person you don't have a right to tell the other person then you're kinda a pussy; sorry not sorry.

I’m a biker and I can tell you a lot of these isn’t the cars’ fault. They’re not allowing the time to be inconvenienced in the slightest. I’ve been pulled out of many of times, I just slow down and move on with my day I very rarely get annoyed, mainly cause I want to keep focusing one what’s going on in front and not allow myself to be distracted. I treat every car like it’s out to get me cause people are looking for cars so they miss bikes, simple as that. The only time I get annoyed is when someone deliberately gets in my way when I’m filtering.
