@@cyrusthered8000 In a few cases the biker has a legit beef but based on a lot of these vids I've seen, these guys speed, "filter" (translation-go between cars illegally-I never did this when I rode and though I know in some areas it's inexplicably legal but is dangerous and shouldn't be), and camp out in cars' blind spots...then get all pissed when they almost get hit. And most of them are riding little pussy bikes that are even harder to see.

If you learn how to read, what I said was that based on the videos I've seen some of the riders DO have a legitimate beef and are in the right; but others clearly are not. And I used to ride (883 HD sportster) so I've seen this crap myself first hand. Guys on crotch rockets doing stupid crap and acting like they own the road. And I think filtering should be outlawed. Period. It causes more problems than anything else. Some entitled fuckwit thinks he deserves to cut through traffic when everyone else is patiently waiting in line and it ticks people off. Bear in mind that in a battle between a bike and a ton or two of vehicle, you're coming out second best. There are plenty of jerk riders just as there are plenty of jerk drivers.

Video 1 - Pure accident from what I can tell. Bike and car are extremely close to each other. I might react like that too if a car parked on my foot (ouch), but wouldn't 100% blame the driver. Bike is lane splitting (legal where I am), though I would say bike should have been more careful in this video givien how close they are to the car. Place yourself inches from a car, instead of a few yards behind them, which is also an option, and also legal, then you are putting yourself in more risk. Video 2 - Car shouldn't have pulled out, simple. By the time they got into the lane, the bike was very close, and they didn't have their speed up, nor tried to speed up to match the bikes speed. Dangerous. However, bike in weird mumbo jumbo explains they were doing 15 over the speed limit. They also try to say that there was no car behind them, but in their rear view there is a car behind them, so the one pulling out was trying to find a gap. You can also see the car pulling out from 0:52 seconds but at NO point in the 4 seconds till they end up at their bumper does the bike slow down at all. Just continues on 15 over the limit, overtakes and abuses. Here is a tip, if you see a car pulling out in front of you, (or potentially pulling out in front of you) whether they should be doing it or not, apply brakes! Video 3 - The bike is doing maybe 20 to 30 more than other traffic (so isn't predictable to other traffic). The car (in the 3 seconds before the near miss happened), could have checked behind them, head checked beside them and their blind spot, and seen it was clear to move over. They indicated and did so! The ONLY thing they could have done better was indicate for a few seconds longer, in which case the bike would have been a complete f'n idiot to still make that maneuver against an indicating vehicle (though I actually suspect they would have done it anyway) But still, from that car, the bike would have been VERY hard to see (they were probably BEHIND a car 1 second before the clip started), impossible to predict where it was planning on going, and when that rider is doing 20 to 30 more than traffic and weaving between lanes, they have to be prepared for someone not seeing them. Simple. If that resulted in a crash/fatality, I would have put 100% fault on the bike. I get the riders reaction towards the car because it seemed like they just moved into their lane without looking, but THEY are in the wrong and hope they see that before an incident like this kills them. Video 4 - I didn't see the taxi do anything wrong. Really tough attacking someone with a helmet and armored gloves on! Video 5 - The van panicked. They did the correct thing stopping at the give way sign, but then had a f'n idiot nearly run into the back of them then hold down it's horn at them. They panicked and went, not seeing the bike. The bike had reason to be annoyed, but plenty of room to go around them. Just one of those incidents that is f'd up, but move on! No need to go up and abuse them once you've already waved your arms about and they see they did something wrong. She even opens here window to say sorry for the accident, ACCEPT IT! Rarely do people admit or acknowledge their mistake, and even rarer do they apologize! Video 6 - Much easier on a bike in a county with legal lane splitting. Video 7 - Is it one way? If it is, the bike is justified in telling The driver off. But also the bike should have moved over so that the car didn't have to nearly scrape their bike to get through. Video 8 - Just an f'n idiot on his phone with a gun, driving... Can't do anything about that. Video 9 - Van should have been indicating, but also is clearly moving lanes, so don't ride up the side of them. duh. Video 10 - Lane splitting is dangerous. Even where it's legal, cars often don't expect it and are only looking out for cars or a clear space beside them to move over. Expect cars to do this, give them a bit of a wave or toot if it happens so maybe they'll be more aware next time, then move on! Video 11 - He littered. Right his license plate down and have him sent a fine. Weird that the car turns around and comes back and drifts into the riders lane.. Okay this fits the description of 'stupid' people. Video 12 - blue car couldn't see anything on the left coz of stopped traffic, so had to pull out to see where there was a gap to merge into (they should have waited that traffic on their right to clear though ideally). They slowly crept out while the bike's like was obstructed by a turning vehicle, then by the time the bike got there they were 3/4 out and were stuck. If I was the bike, I would have slowed, realized the situation and let them take their gap and accepted an apology/thank you wave from them. And if you look, the bike can't go anywhere once that car moves anyway because his lane has stopped. This is one of those times to just be generous and give way to another user of the road even though they are in the wrong. I mean, does being in the right and someone else in the wrong ALWAYS mean you need to abuse them? Video 13 - LOL at this... Dark car with no lights on randomly pulls out in front of a bike WITH NO LIGHTS ON. They are made for each other. Video 14 - Bike is probably going a bit too fast, but that car did something very impatient and dangerous and is entirely in the wrong. No support for it from me. Can understand the rider sh!tting his pants for a second. Video 15 - Driver mistake, got a toot, got a finger. The end. Maybe could do without the finger,,, this is how road rage starts if the van drivers ego can't take that. Video 16 - Car was a complete f'n idiot! I see this all the time at 2 into 1 merges. People pick 'the car they want to get in front of' instead of the one they are going to get behind, and it ALWAYS causes chaos, traffic jams, near accidents, road rage, etc etc. He had a gap to move into, but decided he had room to get in front of the bike. Bike 100% justified and this actually could have been a bad accident. Car is 100% wrong. At merges, pick the vehicle you are going to slot in BEHIND. NOT the one you want to slot in IN FRONT of. This may even achieve world peace! Video 17 - Dangerous maneuver and cutting it close on the cars part. Same type of maneuver bikes always make, but they're only going to hurt themselves when it doesn't go as they planned. Different in a car. Still, chasing after people to make a point rarely ends in satisfaction, and the bikes 'high ground' to start making his point happens to be parked in the lane of oncoming/turning traffic. Video 18 - Car ran a red light. F'n idiot, even if it's my pizza getting cold on the back seat, i don't want riders killed in getting it to me faster. Bike did the right thing not just taking off, and he slowed to make way for the car, and was justified in his reaction. Video 19 - Dangerous common scenario on 3+ lane motorways. Cars in opposite lanes both merging into the center one. Car didn't do a head-check into their blind spot AND only hit indicator as they were doing the manouver. WAY to late. Indicators are for what you are GOING TO BE DOING,,,, NOT what you are ALREADY doing. Bike moved into a cars blind spot in a lane that was previously free. Car is at fault, but this is so common that as a rider you need to be aware that it can happen anytime. I've been in a car where I didn't head check and merged left,, a car in the far lane didn't head check and merged right, and we both nearly collided in the middle. I realized we both made a mistake and a near miss and smiled and waved 'sorry, we both did something dumb then', the other driver hurled abuse because of course they couldn't have possibly done something wrong so it must be that other person's fault if an accident nearly happened. Lesson, be careful and expect bad lane changes on multi lane roads, and especially when you are in blindspots. And don't expect other people to even realise or acknowledge that they did something wrong. To that car, they would probably say they were indicating and the bike got into the space they were moving in to. CHECK your blind spots BEFORE moving over, and indicate BEFORE so other cars are ready for it. for fcks sake. Bike made it worse by not slowing and trying to maintain space in that lane when the car was coming over. Having right of way and being knocked off the bike and under oncoming traffic aren't the same things. Sometimes you have to yield to f'n idiot drivers. Video 20 - Old guy is probably sick of bikes hooning down a pedestrian type street. Bike lucky he didn't cop the broom, and old guy lucky he didn't actually do it and really hurt someone. Looks like the type of street where kids could be very close to the road, so maybe not the best place to be going that quick. Video 21 - Just a really bad driver not even looking before merging over painted lines. Could cause a bad accident one day, bike is justified in being p!ssed off, but doesn't carry on with it. perfect. Video 22 - See video 16 comments. At merges, pick who you are getting in BEHIND, not in front of. Simple. Video 23 - Dirt bikes are great fun, but just admit it to yourself right now, when we're all that old, we'll be just as cranky and p!ssed off at little turds on dirt bikes ruining our peaceful hikes.. :) That's life in a nutshell right there. Video 24 - Car pulled out in front of him, simple. Had 3 lanes to go into but went into his. He didn't slow down much until the end, but she shouldn't have done that. I think he got more annoyed that she waved her arm like 'f off' rather than acknowledging her mistake and saying sorry. Still, never achieves anything positive chasing them down to further make a point. Car probably did run orange (nearly red), i'm always on the look out for this on a bike, but it still really annoys me when cars do this. In response to replies, yes I had an hour to kill critiquing a youtube video and no, I don't have much of a life. :)
