One more thing: vehicle damage is bad, I know. I'm a rider. I know how hard it is to stay safe, but when you get angry and smash someone's mirror for a minor infraction, you're immediately in the wrong. Property damage isn't worth the anger. Remain calm, write down their license, and call the police where applicable

You'd be surprised how capable the KLR is on-road also! I haven't been able to do much off-roading, not a lot of areas for it, and I'd prefer to learn how to on a dirt bike first. If I trusted the tires on mine more I could probably scrape the foot pegs. Even on 2011 50-50 DS tires I've gone 60 around a corner almost scraping peg, but I've also low sided because of those tires. The only time it's not wonderful is when you're doing a lot of windy highway at 80+mph. Bigger windshield would probably help, I've had to basically lay on the tank to give my upperbody a break. It's not terribly slow, either... although I don't have much bike experience to compare it to, it keeps up with 1200 cc Harleys OK up to 90mph.

listen, i understand bikers don’t like to see people using their phones while driving, but i’m not sure chasing them down and harassing them for it makes it any better. i was texting and driving once, completely in the wrong for doing it, then a biker comes up on me (which i had not in any way offended other than him seeing me sending a text). he gives me a bunch of angry signals- i gave him the apology wave and put my phone down. i then tried to distance myself from him and he literally chased me throughout the bridge we were on, got parallel with my car, and then punched the driver’s side of my car while we were going at least 80mph. when he saw how furious i was, he just took off. I tried to let it go but I couldn’t so I chased him down, rolled down the passenger window and threw a bottle of chocolate milk at him (all i had). it missed but that started a 30 minute chase where he followed me all over the city we were in. i was making every move i could to lose him but he wouldn’t let it go. it’s after midnight and i’m a girl driving alone, which he saw. like what would his best case scenario in this situation be had he caught me? luckily I finally shook him. and yes, I know I was initially in the wrong but after I tried to apologize and put my phone down, there was no reason to pursue me and then hit my car like that. sorry I got road rage after and retaliated but wtf bro. you wanna wreck at 80 mph bc i sent a text saying, see you soon? your point was made.
