So if I remember correctly this is a retelling of the original series right? So it'll follow similar plot points but change some as well like Wario & Waluigi being sent at the same time here? Interesting, since this is animated I expect bigger & better Beamsword fights. ;)

This actually made me smile so much when i saw it! I followed the original SMB series from the day the first episode came out till the last and when i watched the final episode and knew it was over, I'm not gonna lie, I cried. Especially when "Game Over" played at the end. I hate to sound like a sap, but thank you so so much for bringing this to all of us. You'll always be one of my favorite people on KZbin, your videos helped me through some hard times honestly.

That's pretty cool, since it's animated you're not restricted by real life locations, props and acting anymore. I thought this episode was pretty funny and a good pilot episode overall. It's certainly interesting to see SMB in this re-imagined way, I hope it'll become a big success. :)

This has a lot of potential Rich. I really like the crude animation style, it works well. The humour is also classic Richalvarez, so I'm glad you haven't strayed too far from that. Without the limitations of Live-action this could go in any direction. Looking forward to more.

It almost feels like a prequel to Stupid Mario Bros. Season 1 where Mario is tired of saving Peach lots of time from Bowser and go the real world. Like that's how it began. Anyway, awesome on the animated job Rich Alvarez.

And canon just broke. Wario was supposed to go after the Mario Bros by himself. Waluigi came after him. So this has to take place in a different universe. Also bowser can talk without hooked on phonics... what? Anyway love the show hope Chris comes back to do Luigi no offense to whoever does him now.

Sonic17 Yeah this is basically an alternate timeline. Its what Richie always wanted to do with SMB had he not had the limitations back in 2007 so its a re imagining of the story

It's a different series and should be treated as such. It's basically a retelling/reboot in animated form while live action SMB is its own thing, and I think that's fine. Also, pretty sure this is Chris voicing Luigi but in a more faithful way to the Nintendo character.

Rich already said early on that the animated series is an "alt-prequel." Meaning that it's a prequel to an alternate version of the original series.

As many have stated. This is an alternate telling. A parallel canon. And that is Chris doing Luigi's voice, he's just trying to be more accurate to the games here.

I LOVE this! With the teaser, I wasn't too sure what to think since the animation doesn't look "professional" by any means (it looks like a flash video you'd find on newgrounds back in the day, which isn't bad, it's just different), and also the voices were temporarily done by Rich so the line delivery and voices were a bit off to me. With everything put in place, I actually really enjoyed this and had a good laugh at a few places! I feel like Chris and Jackie were great in their line delivery and Luigi/Peach had a very believable and humorous ignorance about their situation at the beginning (which made Mario's frustration funnier). Wasn't a huge fan of Bowser's voice (I still have an attachment to the "RAH RAH BRADAH RAH RAH") but it still kinda worked. I'm really looking forward to this series :) I've been a huge fan since 2009. Maybe this will blow the Rich Alvarez channel back up!
