Adding to #13 : Don't rush changing everything at once. It takes time to get into a new habit. Start with one Change at a time and see if it works for you. You'll get into it soon enough and might even see that it a) Works for you and b) You even "need" it if you couldn't do it one Day.
@adamstevenson64442 жыл бұрын
That’s a good point. Also, the beautiful thing about small, incremental changes is that you don’t burn through all the tools in your arsenal and have no tricks left when you plateau. No sense in 45 min cardio a day and cutting 1000 kcals out a day and IF and low carb all at once. Minimum necessary force.

A good cheat meal for me is roughly 1500-2000 calories. If I know I’m gonna want one a certain week, I plan ahead and evenly cut out those calories from each day of the week before it, so that at the end of the week, I am still within my caloric goal

fruits: fructose is bad for your liver, certainly worse than refined sugar, not as bad as alcohol though. So medical advise and nutritionist advise is - IF you suffer from fatty liver or liver problems, avoid fructose and alcohol, and cut down sugar in general all of these put additional pressure on your liver. If you have a healthy liver, it can handle as much fructose as you want - stop drinking alcohol start eating fruit

My cheat days usually aren't super high in calories, moreso they just are me eating some of the unhealthy stuff one day. I eat a lower amount of food in the morning, and I keep it to my healthy stuff, then I usually end up eating out, and eat unhealthier food. At worst it makes me go from 1600-1800 calories to 1800-2200 which is still a deficit for me at 208 pounds I believe. Usually after cheat days I end up noticing I lost a pound, obviously not BECAUSE of the cheat day, but because I make sure a cheat day doesn't = pig out to the point I feel bloated.

At 6:19: this can be true but you have to be careful with it. A lot of people (myself included) were in junk-free households as kids, and when we grew up we binged on fast food, "kids'" snacks, sugar cereals, and anything we were told was off limits. Our parents thought they were doing what was best for us, but kids don't grow up in a vacuum, and are being exposed to other kids eating these things and feeling left out. A better step if you're trying to lose weight, instill healthy habits in your kids, or both, would be to allow yourself and the kids these things sometimes, but not all the time. That way it doesn't become some glimmering taboo drug shining above them for life, and they'll see it just for what it is: sugary food.
