Hopefully he comes up with something even more original, this country album has convinced me rock hasn't died. Samurai flicks and anime are 2of my favs (next to heavy psychedelic rock) though so maybe I'm biased just by that, but from what I've found this transcends everything else I've heard from him

"I wouldn't compare it to 'The Wall.'" I would, I have, and I am. It's "The Wall" for the current generation, and incredibly relevant for the modern day. I can't say enough good things about this album and the accompanying animation.

Sturgill I live in WVA coal and river valley country, Mars is in Retrograde. Is getting requests, we are digging the entire grove of it really . I heard a small excerpt of Tim Magraw saying how important a album is to the Artwork itself. I agree there is something different about art in music. The Devine aspect I suppose. According to the word we can sing a song the Angels can’t sing. Mars in retro has a Waylon feel to it. Great work . More please!

Just seen it the other night. I am not an anime person by any means , and I had skipped it a bunch of times saying Nah, not today... but since I read it was by Sturgill I thought , “huhhhh. Let’s try it “. Glad I did. Amazing story told in two types of art with the same complexity. I was amazed at the brilliance.

I watched the Netflix movie/music video and I can say that his music was an awesome refresher and you could tell the animators were really into it having their creative ability let off the chains. I'm also fucking pumped as soon as he said his music was on vinyl since I had been asking myself today if it was and totally forgot while I was working. This whole adventure was fucking AWESOME!

So, the channel I listen to put up his new album the other day as the album of the week. Totally loved the new sound! Not expected, but nothing surprises me with Sturgill. He plays it all! The surprise was the anime on Netflix! I don't even like anime, but with his music, it was spectacular! It did make me wonder which came first, the anime or the music. This cleared it right up.
