This guy is it. Probably wont get the recognition he deserves in Nashville because he isnt a candyass, but this guy is country for the blue collar grunts that crave the stuff that guys like Waylon took with him. And that is a compliment of the highest honor. Lyrics that hit home, and an amazing voice and band. Excellent stuff.

Hope he wins a Grammy. Not that it really means anything but I still think he deserves some major recognition

This dude he had on lead for this session is the Golden Boi. The CEO of Telecastin'. The Chief of Chops. I come back to these recordings when I need a little sauce to reawaken my soul and freshen my leads.

Who else wishes they did like 20 (thousand) more tracks together on this set? But the 3 we have on the tube is pretty fucking fantastic. Big love to each and all.❤

Keep the faith, Sturgill. Temptations will come, but stay true to the Country Tradition. No songs about trucks and beaches. Kentucky Soul.

Thought I was the only one sick and tired of trucks, white tee shirts, muddy tire songs.

littlesean92 good for you. Sturgill is fantastic. I suggest you look into Shooter Jennings as well if you have not already. Different kind of country but great none the less. Gotta love Rogan. He knows what’s good.

THANK GOD "REVERB" is BACK!!! ... SO SICK of records sounding like the singer was SCREAMING in my ear in a carpeted room. Life is "AMBIENT".

Henry-Joe Murphy I never understood the hatred for feedback. Pedal steel is one of my favorite instruments.
@grandelusion11483 жыл бұрын
@@superintelligentapefromthe121 Reverb and feedback are not even close to the same thing lol. Last thing you want is your vocal mic or pedal steel feeding back 😂

Playing live and sounding good like this is what separates the men from the boys. Go to any main stream "country" concert and they sound horrible when they arent hiding behind the producers computer. Thank you Mr. Simpson

B.C Turner I agree with exception to Zac Brown band. Caught them twice and they sounded amazing and even covered Zeppelin Dave Matthews band and seven bridges road. I really want to see sturgill live.
