Thank you! If it was not this warm I would have added a sweater or a sport coat. More traditional mens styles should make a comeback in my opinion.

Ties are way too bdsm. Screams "ty sir may i have another!!" Slave shit.

@@legalfictionnaturalfact3969 I would take a tie over a T-shirt any day of the week. It's a matter of preference I'm sure.

@@dergrenadier yes, you prefer to appear obedient. never argued otherwise. lol.
@dergrenadier3 жыл бұрын
@@legalfictionnaturalfact3969 It has nothing to do with obedience. I dress exacly how I want to. I don't let people tell me what I can or cannot wear, because I feel happy in this outfit. If I were to change from this to someting else because other people don't like it, that would be obedient slave shit.

Most Reenactors know not to buy the Sturm zeltbahn due to the incorrect pattern. Maybe the reason Sturm quit making German Reenactment kit was that it generally didn’t meet minimum standards imho.
@dergrenadier3 жыл бұрын
You're right, most of their items didn't meet minimum standards. With some small exeptions as with all vendors.

I thought some places still sell sturm tunics? Doesn’t hessian antiques sell them still??
@JohnsonTheSecond3 жыл бұрын
@@kurtschmidt5005 Yeah Sturm seems to be quite hit or miss. I only hear good about Sturm uniforms but crap about their equipment repros. I have a zelt marked Sturm, bought from epicmilitaria and it looks very different to this, it has a correct pattern, colours and buttons. It seems that everything you buy from Sturm sucks, but from other vendors MARKED Sturm is good...?
@kurtschmidt50052 жыл бұрын
Sturm still makes uniforms and gear. I think the sturm German uniforms look fairly good. Some of their gear is not the best compared to others. Hessian Antiques sells sturm stuff. Also Amazon has some sturm uniforms for sale as well.

Is it correct that the browner zelts (Like the Sturm example) were produced earlier in the war, then they shifted to dying them in that pale green background (As the original) later in the war? How strict is this? I can't find much on this anywhere, only seeing marked examples, earlier dates seen to be brown and later pale green.

When I got my Mil-Tec zeltbahn, I was not able to fit my size 61 head through the hole. I had to cut and restitch it.

Problem for people with somewhat lager heads. It is important to be able to fit your head through

Small details have been added. The project is one for the long run but it is in usable contition now, so when the weather is good I can go out and enjoy the bike.

Mooie zelhtbahn man 👍

I still and probably always will continue to use an original zeltbahn for re-enacting. I know there’s a camp of re-enactors that outright reject the idea of using original anything and then there’s others like me that use as much original equipment as possible, within reason and with exceptions. A good, used condition zeltbahn costs just a few dollars more than the best reproductions. I also understand not wanting to damage good original pieces. …and without me writing a book about my reasons or biases, I say get either a fairly good original zelt or the newest generation of reproduction zelts from At The Front or Panther Store and just stay away from anything else.

If the Zeltbahn arrived with the rips in it I would have sent it back.

It's a second hand zelt. I knew about the damages beforehand.
