HEAVY (but slim - ha!) traveler here --- ACCESSORIES are key, for me. Basic clothing & accessories that work in a place. EX: killer scarf & gloves for Paris; bright accessories for Mexico City; all somber for Brussels; etc. Shoes matter immensely as one walks a lot in all cities. accessories, accessories, accessories (WELCOME back, Grace!).

Only lightweight denim, more chambray type in Cabo, even in January. Locals can pull it off but we can’t. Too hot to wear.
