I love this. Some will probably say these people are not concentrating on the right things, are too much in to themselves blah blah blah... you know what? I love it. I love how they are who they are and how they enjoy talking about fashion and their outfits. They are the ones who mastered the task to be accepted to THE Art and design school in the world. They do not have to prove it to anyone but themselves and they are still in a process of learning and exploring their abilities and creativity. Why should we rate them? Fashion is subjective. I love it.

I'm wearing a vintage T shirt and a vintage pair of trousers with a vintage scarf from a vintage charity shop in Brick Lane which is a vintage part of London where you get to see lots of people wearing other vintage stuff which is really cool and not to mention vintage.

I love this series so much! :) The some of the students seemed so passionate about their work and it was very inspiring. The girl who only wears colors outfit was crazy and amazing. I loved her flower hat.

My god saint martin students are so into themselves...you can already tell they have a whole explanation and agenda prepared to anyone who asks about their clothes. Fashion expression in moderation is healthy and should be encouraged, obsession with image isn't. That's for sure.

Isabel Perdomo Yeah I have...there's a difference between being passionate about creating/loving clothes and being obsessed with your self image. I’m in fashion school, you don’t understand the lengths that these people spend on tailoring their OWN image everyday. “I’m more unique because I do this” I’m more unique bc I’m understated/eclectic etc…and emphasizing their identity on their image. Like I said in moderation its okay, but most of the time fashion students take it into the territory of unhealthy obsession…Often neglecting any sort of inner confidence. All you have to do is follow a few of their instagrams,“personal blogs”, or speak to them in person to find out. I’m not saying EVERYONE in fashion school is like this, but a lot are exactly like the people in this video. Of course all different in their own “unique” little way.

@@alesyoung6235 No I went to LCF actually and have many friends that went to CSM. My comment applies to LCF students as well and any other top fashion institution. With age...some students will outgrow the pretentiousness and self importance, some won't...and yes they are all young-ish people (18-30)...but its insufferable with some. The people in this video take themselves altogether to be such unique and important decision makers and are ready at a drop of a dime to tell you how and why. You can tell they are so happy to be asked about their opinion. You can pick this apart any which way and tell me thats what fashion is and I can tell you very much that it is not. That's a surface level critique by a casual bystander, fashion consumption can be very vapid that but the creation of fashion succeeds with much more humility.

The first girl looked beautiful. It looks like that wearing "Old" clothes from charity and Op shops is now the the new cool. It also raises the prices for people who actually need to but their clothes from these places. The middle class and upper middle class will but these things and they start with a level of heart and soul but then everyone is starts doing it . Don't forget the turn over as we "need to have new fashion every season and then the designs get made in China with extremely poor working conditions. Once the masses want all these things there won't be enough resources for every one to acquire these things in an ethical way.

+Bejewelle88 I agree it is so pretentious. They are convinced that they are individuals but are creating trends for people to mindlessly follow. There are people from corporations and marketing companies who go and observe the people on the street and copy their styles and mass produce them. There are also people at fashion shows who draw the outfits and then use them and mass produce the clothes for the mainstream often toning them down but using the same ideas. Then the people with the real design are can feel special as they can look down on those with the copies and the people with the copies can feel like they have something the rich people have.

+Cat Kin I couldn't much understand what you said, but i do agree that at most, in stereotypical sense, fashion students are pretentious. I do disagree with the rest. Everyone is convinced they're individuals, and you dont even have to recognize it to be one. you can be an individual that creates trends, and that its not something thats necessarily bad. thats their job, really, to create something original and then let it be copied a thousand ways later.
