You know those hangers that are wooden with the clips on them for pants? You can use those on your wall and with the metal clips hang photos from them. It’s a cute idea for laundry room decor!

Put a large wicker laundry basket under the sink, no curtain but definitely put curtains between lower cabinets to the left of the hutch. Maybe put your rags in a wire basket.

I love everything you have done so far. I'm wondering how often you actually have overnight guests. If it's often enough, I would say to keep adding a few items such as a coffee pot with the glass mugs on a tray on the counter. If it's not very often, I would probably have those items available but store them in the cabinets. You could easily take them out and arrange a beautiful counter before your guests arrive. Otherwise, you will be seeing that room each and every day, so I would decorate with decor that makes you happy. I know whatever you decide, it will look absolutely beautiful, as it always does!

Such fun.... I just love the light pine hutch! If you ask me, I would put a large tray where the lamp is and put all coffee supplies and maybe, toaster for easy access. Then, remove the gingham cloth and use on other 2 open spaces. Under the sink I would find a wicker basket to use as a large waste basket so you can see under the sink and easy to throw things away. You will move things around for quite awhile as things fall into place. Beautiful job hubby!

Like the gingham fabric. The clear coffee cups don't show up but that could be what you are looking for. I think a nice tray with cups, coffee press and toaster would be nice on that corner for guests. An accordion drying rack would work well in the spot by the sink. You will pull it all together, you always do 😁

@@PineandProspectHome I was thinking the same thing. l LOVE the idea of a tray that corrals all of the morning stuff. Designate an area where guests will go to prepare coffee, toast or whatever. A marble riser or lazy susan would be pretty to elevate some coffee syrups/creamers (Amazon has some that have a vintage cut glass look). There's a drawer beneath with a cabinet so you can use those hidden storage spaces for coffee pods, sugar, spoons, snacks, hot/cold cereal (which get put there just before guests come so there's no spoilage). The open space where you put the hamper can be where you slide a mini fridge. A small wicker garbage can would be nice. Both fabrics are pretty but like you, Andrea, I prefer the green gingham material. Let your hubby know that he did an amazing job. These are just some ideas but i'm confident that whatever you choose, it will be beautiful. Love this channel.

First off, this laundry space is adorable! You have such an incredible eye for styling!! I would add a lamp in the corner near the hutch. It would really warm up that space. I would add a lamp whenever possible! Lamps add such interest with the light they provide and by bringing out textures with the shadows they give. I personally have a love/hate relationship with plug ins. A person almost canNOT have enough of them….but I DO try to hide them…even slightly. I hide them with framed art, books, plates, tall items, plants….and more. It is not hard to move those items if I need to use the outlet. The hutch seems like a perfect place to group the items to make your hospitality area. A hutch can be a space for anything….but it seems natural to house food and guest items there, plus it is close to the sink. You could even add inspirational books, just a few, for your guests to read. YOU may also need to be encouraged as you do endless laundry for your sweet boys!❤️ I truly love ALL you have done here!! I want to comment on the issue brought up of Temu. You know, we do our best with what we know….we need to follow the convictions that God, alone, gives us. I personally have boycotted a crazy popular store for 8 years. I have gone in to shop there a handful of times if it’s a wedding gift or I am shopping with a friend who wishes to go there. It’s been hard at times. I do not comment about it to others unless someone notices and asks me. Are there multiple other stores that could or should be boycotted? Probably….but I have stuck with one store (at this time) and I am sticking to my convictions. I am putting my time and attention to this store unless I am led to include more. I have kindly contacted my local store AND contacted people at the Corporate level. So my advice (that you didn’t ask for😬)is to pray about it and ask God to convict you if you should change a direction going forward. I always ask my husband as he is my friend whom I trust and admire and God often speaks to me through him. ❤ I respect his opinion. Blessings as you keep coming up with creative ideas and videos!! I really enjoy them! Thank you!!!!!!

You and your husband did an amazing job with the laundry area. I actually like the openness under the sink area. It looks so finished and shows off the pedestal for the sink. I do understand that a curtain would hide less attractive items, however. I would maybe get a cute stand for the mugs and put it by the toaster. I think they get a bit lost on the shelf. But, I know whatever you decide, it will look great.

As a grandma... with all your little ones... I would definitely put the vinegar , peroxide and bleach bottles on the top shelf. And I love the open brick under the great sink scallop. It would look great with a large oval laundry basket with white towels when you do have guests. I am glad you mentioned TEMU. I have been extremely hesitant ordering out of country, as I have had terrible luck with products not as portrayed on screen. Maybe I will try it out. Thanks for the code. The room turned out beautifully. What a great space . MY washer and dryer have been in the garage for 50 years next to my car! There is no room anywhere to relocate it.

I love the brick under the sink. It's a neat pop. Why not put a large laundry basket from Longer Berger or a wicker one under the and layer wash boards to hide plumbing. That lil wash board on the counter needs another behind it. They're fun to collect too. If you're keeping the toaster and another coffee pot for guests, hide the non laundry themed things inside the hutch. Just my ideas. I'm doing our laundry room/pantry and have a hutch my husband made for my first anniversary gift 42 years ago in there along with a Hoiser cabinet. I'm going to show him your sink. I love it!

@janiceingle2131 Жыл бұрын
Since you want to create a guest area, the lamp and toaster would look in the corner where the large jar with Borax is -- create a coffee/breakfast nook. Small fridge in the "knee" area beneath could house snacks & food items for your guests/children; or put shelving in that area for laundry or other accoutrements. And what about a plant on the far left side? Whatever you do, the area will look lovely and comfortable.

What a beautiful laundry room! As for the sink, I adore the brick and I would suggest putting a removable panel painted the same as the sink base (maybe the headboard you have in some of the walls) to the back to cover the sink then get an antiqued brass bucket or longer brass bucket and put faux ferns or hydrangea in it, this will allow that brick to be seen and still create an airy feel.

Love the space! Leaving the openings under the counter and sink give the space dimension which for the eye is so important because it is a small space. Maybe put a wooden or metal bar stool under the left opening and some open shelving in the corner alcove? I agree with another poster how the under the sink space is too cute to cover up. Maybe put a shallow canvas rolling bin on casters to hold hand towels, etc. this allows the brick flooring to still show their loveliness.I just love what you and your husband have created!

Love the concept of converting your laundry space into a shared kitchenette. It might not be a well established concept here in the States, but this is a common design in many European/old world countries that don’t have the space to have a separate laundry room. The two most common spaces for laundry machines to merge in is either the kitchen or the bathroom aka wash room. It might be a good idea to explore even the modern homes of these places, especially London homes where it’s very common to have the laundry machine to be in the kitchen. Most of the aesthetic are more modern, yet it should help influence a natural blend of the space. The baskets certainly helps with the aesthetics, I have big box like baskets above my kitchen cabinets where there is enough space to give both height and storage space. I’ve become a sucker hoarding baskets thanks to channels such as this amazing channel, there seems to always be a good reason to keep extra around. Just make sure you have room for a laundry basket haha. I like the gingham curtain, I think that you probably need a little more items to help cement the space. Personally, I’d add something to ties the space because the color looks a little washed down and just needs little touches of color to anchor certain focal points. More of the gingham curtain would help, and perhaps stick to the sage green pops here and there to help tie in the space. Right now you have the bones and structures yet it seems like a blank canvas, just waiting for the final touches. Perhaps once again adding those baskets might be nice 😆

At this point, the coffee pot, glasses, and toaster aren't playing nice with the laundry items. The plants and baskets can stay, whatever direction you go in. I vote for the green gingham. It's perfect, and goes well with the artwork. If it were me, I'd have the items for guests tucked away and switch things out before they arrive. You use the laundry area every day, though, and it should be as beautiful as possible !!!!

Hey there! This space is adorable!! I think maybe think through some zones in this space. So a kitchen zone might be good for coffee and toaster and cups on a stand maybe and a basket for pastries or fruit. Then I think a laundry zone that is in a convenient place for your access. Then a spot or zone for other cleaning supplies. Then yes plants. A plant in that grey crock would be adorable whether real or faux. I also think sheer gauzy or linen fabric would be beautiful for your lower spaces and then open them like a window and put large basket storage items inside to peek out. I think you get the softness from the fabric and the warmth and texture from the baskets. Just trying to help. I am no expert. And you always make thing’s beautiful so go for it!

A drop of your favorite essential oil works wonderfully with the dryer balls! I'm definitely team green gingham - so charming! Could make curtains on a tension rod for the window across the room, too. (how great are those deep window sills!!) Or even cover a lampshade for a mini lamp on your hutch - and maybe line a basket or two. With the boys in the basement so much you might want to consider a larger fridge than for just an occasional guest. A diffuser to keep the area smelling fresh and welcoming might be a nice add as well. So lovely, so charming...so YOU! 👏 ~~MaryAnn🤗

So I was thinking of a toaster oven or a bagel toaster and adding condiments to the big basket like jams, packets for tea, etc. I love those Spring dresses on you and your husband is an amazing craftsman! ❤ Love your show!

I love the beautiful space you and your husband have created in the laundry room. I think the space below the sink should remain opened. It has beautiful legs and trim design as well as the pretty floor.. Find a wicker laundry lay it on it's side add some rolled towels and a vintage baby dress. For a pop of color a faux or live plant in a terracotta pot.

On the hutch, put white plates, trays or art work standup up. It should have a plate groove. If not, put a thumbtack in the shelve to hold the plate. If needs some variation in the background. Of course greenery is a must. Such a nice space in your home. Your husband did a great job too. Love your videos❤

It is soooo beautiful!! Great job! I would love to see the little plant basket in the window well. Also, is putting the baskets in the window taking light? I mean having several...love a few. I love the art work! Thanks for sharing! Also, love the green gingham...but I love green. And I love the idea of the curtains...goes well with the new "cottage" look. You know? The little hits of wood look really nice with the clothes pins! Either wood handles in the crock or the wood bowl. I think I am leaning toward the crock with some wood handles. Either way, it is stunning, Andrea. You will probably change it around several times before you finally get it where you want it. Oh!! Love the idea of a lamp! I have an old crock that has been turned into a lamp...have had it for years! That would be so cute in your space!

Andrea, that laundry room is coming out really nice. I love the washboards & would consider putting them together as a grouping. Also, what you said about hanging greenery on the windowsill, great idea, it would provide color. I like the green gingham pattern - gorgeous. I like the baskets on the windowsill instead of the counter top. Maybe change the toaster to the opposite side & the laundry items to that corner. One corner being for kitchen items & the other with laundry items. Just ideas! I like the hangers a lot - so unique, however, not to fond of the one hanging over the windowsill. You will get everything figure out & looking great soon- I know. Add more greenery & you can always put baskets on top of the curio.
