I'm soooooo jealous rn! my grandma on my dad's side was born in ireland and came to canada when she was 5. she had to learn french super quick because back then, kids went to school based on their religion and catholics usually spoke french. also, my grandpa on my mom's side was half irish (his dad was an immigrant) and so my mom has an irish last name. this is definitively my dream destination!

I have always wanted to go to Ireland My great auntie did our family line and she found out the old family home is still back in Ireland all the other cousins of my mum and second cousins have all been back to Ireland except our little family . Your trip looks amazing

Bit of history about St. Patrick's and Christ Church: after King Henry VIII established the Church of England so he could divorce his Catholic wife, Catherine of Aragon, he forced all the originally Catholic cathedrals in Ireland to become Anglican. To this day, they are still Church of Ireland (protestant), for some reason. You can still enjoy Catholic mass in many spectacular Churches around Ireland, of course. But these cathedrals are mainly tourist spots anyway.
