Whelp, that "Stella Grow" impression went about as expected. But yeah, anyway, it's technically the spiritual successor to another franchise, "Luminous Arc", which had 3 entries on the DS. And a final 4th entry, "Luminous Arc Infinity" on the PSVita without the original developer, Imageepoch. Only the first two entries ever got overseas releases, the other two obviously being JP exclusive. So "Stella Grow" technically is the proper 4th entry to "Luminous Arc", just under a different name since I'm guessing Imageepoch somehow lost rights to the IP. It all follows nearly the exact same set-up with a world of witches and SRPG gameplay/mechanics. If I remember correctly, it was Imageepoch's final game before closing down due to their CEO, Ryoei Mikage, disappearing. Though things did get better...sort of, but that's a story for another time.

Haven't heard of Denpa Men in a while, was cool to see it, Stella Glow, and Dillon here. For anyone interested in playing Stella Glow after this video, the game has social link/support like free time events you can spend with party members. It is important you get all of the events with Klaus as it will determine late game events such as your ability to get another party member. Also wish the video mentioned the sing command, where a witch can sing for map wide effects and their song becomes the new background track. If you do all of a witches free time events they get a second song and a new outfit. Automaton Lung sounds cool. Also hope we see Dillon as a fighter in Smash, niche characters like him with excellent designs are what crossover fighters were made for.

Many people dislike Zexal World Duel Carnival for the abundance of cut content compared to the Japanese version as well as the visual-novel-esque gameplay. It does take place in a really fun period in YuGiOh history, though: The card pool goes up to Dragon Ruler format and the duelists without anime decks feature a variety of rogue to top tier decks from the previous formats including the likes of Dino-Rabbit, Wind-up, Firefist, Atlantean-Mermail, Chaos-Dragons and more. The anime decks range from garbage (mostly for the early monster-of-the-week-type-episodes) to decently competent. I found the Tori Meadows and Yusaku campaigns to be the most fun, but also really enjoyed the Lightsworn Chaos deck that all characters get as an alternative to their anime deck.

I got the impression that Imageepoch knew this was going to be it's swan song (there was a good bit of content left on the cutting room floor,) so they just completely indulged themselves. It's kinda hard to think of any other explanation for Nonoka. The OST totally slaps though, especially the vocal tracks. I may not like Sakuya much, but her songs make me wanna dance! Fun fact about the Zexal game: the western release was majorly gutted. More than half of the playable characters (including my faves like Cathy, No.96 and Girag,) the CGs for the ends of their stories and the voice acting was completely removed for reasons I will never understand.

I'm disappointed in how little attention you gave Stella Glow. It's really worth the time. At first it seems generic, but I'd say that a mayor forcing a witch to sing so she can help grow an opium farm isn't exactly "generic". Not to mention that halfway through the game, right at what seems the final climax, you have betrayal, death, destruction, forming a resistance against evil forces, past and future connecting, fantasy science, horrific creatures... and the ending is just insane. Not to mention that you also get NG+ where you have more free time (enough to max out every single character and job). The gameplay where daytime can be a powerful ally before fights is truly amazing and reminded me of Persona. Like, you raise your affection metre with allies and they learn skills, some powerful (the first knight character, whose name I forgot, gets to move for two more tiles) and some less powerful, but the witches is where affection metre truly shines, since you unlock a new outfit and final song when maxing them out and overall they can get some mad good skills (plus their special tuning levels where you handle their problems and negative emotions is just a great concept on its own). Overall, if you get the chance to play Stella Glow and don't let appearances deceive you

It is generic when it’s like a persona game but with final fantasy tactics style

Ey, I have both Stella Glow and Denpa Men! The former I haven't played yet, but the latter I got back to fairly recently (Didn't want to restart again, so I'm actually glad there's minimal story), and yeah, it's a fun game. It's also a full trilogy (Well, there's a 4th game, but it's only in Japan and is free-to-play iirc), and, from what I'm aware, each entry gets more and more depth. Which is cool! It's just a shame that the location I currently live in hardly has any Denpa Men at all (I've only seen one), but thankfully the ones I got before moving here held up pretty well, and the QR codes are pretty helpful if you can find them for the specific game you're playing (I think QR codes for 1 are fairly obscure, particularly without the Wayback Machine). Also, I was somewhat interested in Dillon, but I never ended up buying any of the games. Mostly cause, by the time I thought about it, I'd already done most of my FOMO purchases and was reluctant to spend much more money. Lol.
