Styles Panel (Affinity Designer)

I like Styles, but they are very buggy unfortunately. I hope to see some updates on this front.

I WISH styles would be linked to the objects they are applied to. I want to be able to change the style and have all objects that have that style applied to them update to match. Styles aren't really that useful right now the way they are currently implemented.

@@mwhite212 No, it doesn't really work like that. They are different ways of working and each has its advantages. I have been waiting for Photoshop to implement "real" layer styles for 2 decades. Was hoping Affinity would be more receptive to the concept.

But can you import .asl files? Or convery .asl files so they can be imported into Affinity? I have so many .asl files that I BOUGHT as a PS user!

On iPad the app often crashes when you open the asset panel ( I have bought lots from your store). I know my 2018 Pro has only 4GB Ram, maybe that is the problem.

What kind of files were saved in the styles file? I have tried saving as affinity designer files, png files and jpg files. I still can't import the styles? What am I missing. I know it's something small. Please help

Sorry, but I find styles super annoying right now. All I want is a vector based pattern swatch for seamless pattern designs. This is apparently not it as I can't create a style from an imported SVG. And gradients thus far can only use bitmaps (raster images) for seamless pattern. And there is no way to edit styles. Stuff like this let's me miss Illustrator CS6.

Audio/mic set up request: Add a de-esser to the audio chain and / or move the mic away / off or on axis pls 🙏 . The sybilance on "Save Selected Styles" just cost me 5% of my remaining high frequency hearing 🤕

Hi, could I ask what you're listening on? We already have a de-esser in the filter chain and it's been tested on studio monitors, several pairs of studio headphones and earbuds to find a good balance (on Apple earbuds, the sibilance on a female voice is just about audible but not uncomfortable, for example). I'd be interested to know which speakers/headphones are exposing the sibilance more so I can test further...
