The bratz are the earliest memory that I have of the realization of my love for fashion. My sisters had at least one or 2 from each line when I was around 6-8 years old. they would always ask me to pick all the outfits out because they would always served looks when I picked . 😂 they are re releasing the original 4 and I will be purchasing so they can sit in box above my desk because to this day they are still my biggest influence when it comes to styling people.

I remember taking it on a plane the next day and people were all asking where we had gotten it. My sisters had a lot of the sets include the prom set the spa set the convertible the like they were obsessed with the bratz this was the first time they really had dolls that they identified with as one of my sisters is lighter skin and the other darker skin so Yasmin and Sasha were there favorite

I loved this dolls, they definately had good storylines. I remember getting a pack of baby bratz and it was angel😇 and devil😈 twins. Needless to say I was obsessed and wanted all their clothes. As a huge Bratz fan who still collects the dolls to this day I just wanna say I love how you styled them. I really like how you styled them with their individual styles while still having all four be cohesive and have that iconic Bratz style. Like for example you didn't make Yasmin be super 100% bohemian all the time to the point it seems almost costume-like and i love that. Also idk if you know this but there was actually a live action movie that came out in 2007 and the styling for it was bad imo. They all didn't seem to have distinct styles (like not even a little bit they just looked like typical 2000s teen movie protagonists not even Bratz) besides Jade who just wore an almost all black sort of emo style and although she can be a bit more alternative than the other Bratz she isn't like super emo to the max or anything. Props to you for doing a billion times better than that movie lol.

@@LisaFevral Yeah the whole entire movie just felt like a very typical 2000s teen movie with the Bratz names slapped onto it. It lacked all the signature Bratz flavor that made Bratz as iconic as it was it was very disappointing

@@ooliveoill the thing with bratz content is that even though it was created to sell dolls, and was aimed at pre-teens, the content itself is really funny and well done(the animated series is still fun to watch for that reason). There's also a lot of wish fulfillment, which the movie doesn't give, bc they don't look "cool" like bratz usually do haha

@@LisaFevral Exactly. Like the Bratz are so fashionable all the building blocks to making a decent movie or at least decent styling were right there. Like if they didn't wanna put so much work into it they could've easily taken pieces or even whole outfits from the dolls and make it work as realistic outfits because they were just that fabulous. The thing about remaking Bratz is that most of the time they never have that certain Bratz charm. Like in 2015 I remember they rebooted the dolls for younger kids and made their faces more "kid friendly" and gave them less/softer makeup and gave the whole thing a more child-like and dare I say more barbie-ish vibe. Although it was way better than the live action and was actually pretty fun to watch at the time, it just wasn't what made Bratz so good in the first place. I have heard rumors that they might come out with a new animated series this year in honor of the 20th anniversary and if its true I really hope they do it justice.

Maybe it's crazy but I AM the one who watched all the episodes, all the movies and their sequels and prequels ... And it wasn't even a childhood. i feel like the show had a very small budget for animation (it just isn't the best) especially since they made it 3d, and so the outfits are really simple and similar compared to all the different styles the dolls wear. you can see that the movies had bigger budgets in the fact that the outfits are more complicated. i don't see why this should be a problem today, definently go off the descriptions of their personalities, because the uniqueness of the characters was so vital to the brand, it would be a shame if that didn't carry through.

I used both descriptions and dolls to help too, but one of the main things is that they still have some bratz flair to them so it’s not like they’re going to be completely within one style, as much as they are more influences that are particular to the girls, like Sasha’s preference for street style or jades experimentation(mix and match of styles)

i honestly think that the whole "this is a bad influence" thing is kinda dumb. like yea, they look insane, they're SUPPOSED to. and no one's getting their legs cut off at the calf to look like sasha or jade. i think barbie is honestly worse, because while barbie portrays a passion for fashion in this weird, little-kid way, bratz portrayed it in a way that made it look ok to girls and boys who played with them, and that it was ok to STILL like fashion as an adult. and while barbie is pining for ken, the bratz girls were just embracing their friendship! yes, they both have issues, but in a lot of ways, bratz is better and more empowering to girls all over the world.

I agree! bratz is exaggerated, even their heads are super big to compare to their bodies. No one looks at them and goes "unrealistic body STANDARD", it's just a toy that actually looks like a toy to compare to barbie, tbh and yeah, the values in bratz were also a lot better (especially in 2001)
