First off, I’m so glad I found you from that mullet video omg. Second, it turns brown because the heat on your straightener is too high, heat strips artificial color from hair more quickly!!

yep, i was going to say the same thing. guy tang has a video about it. the cool tones just hate heat. i would suggest putting in come pin curls while it's wet, and then let it air dry.

Hey girl I'm a professional hairstylist, probably a little late here but your hair turns color from heat because it is opening the cuticle of the hair and stripping the hair color out. It is especially noticeable in very blonde hair ( you're burning your toner out) so I would recommend turning your heat way down and investing in a good heat protector (Redken iron shape 11) is a good one if you needed a recommendation it can go in wet or dry! 😍 getting my mullet next week! I'm pumped!

The blonde turning brown is the heat from the straightener, if you use a high heat it opens the cuticles of the hair (which are already open due to it being bleached) which strips toner and colour out the hair. Try turning you straighteners down and use the heat protector when you section your hair. If you do a spray when you hair is down it won't get to the hair underneath 👍

Hi! I would recommend turning the flat iron way down. Since you hair texture looks on the finer side it doesnt need all that heat to curl. Try for medium heat setting and use a thermal heat protectant before using any hot tools. Using a curl mousse and twisting the sections in the direction you want could also help with airdrying or diffusing.

duuude , SAME ! the first time I dyed my hair grey , the flat iron literally took the dye away (my hair was also super damaged) . something that worked for me was using the iron at a lower temp and not using it so often (unfortunately lol)

I had a blunt growed out pixie cut on my wavy-curly hair and it looked so boring:( I decided to cut it into a shag that I've always wanted but was so scared bc my parents wouldn't let me so I just cut it myself even though I've been cutting my hair for the past few years and honesty I love it so much, it's the best cut I've had, and the curls are so easy to style now so yes if you have curly or wavy hair, get a shag!!!

I have that happen too with the bleached hair going copper when I straighten it .. my thought is ,is that its pulling the toner/purple shampoo out 🤷‍♀️
